A Defence Station is a building in the game Crystalien Conflict used by the humans. It costs 1400 Crystals and is an efficient anti-ground and aircraft turret. The defence station has also been included in physical form in the set 7691 ETX Alien Mothership Assault.
Description[]
The defence station takes up one square of space when built, which is roughly equal to that of a claw tank. It is white and orange with two large spikes coming from each side to stabilise it. A pair of orange tubes run from its base to the turret, which is large and orange with four barrels armed with black and blue missiles. The defence station is manned by one human soldier.
Qualities[]
Defence stations are vital for the protection of the human complex. They can rotate 360 degrees and fire a constant stream of blue blaster fire at any alien soldier or vehicle that comes near. They are expensive, however, and take up a considerable amount of energy to run. It is necessary to have several power plants running to allow the power to run smoothly. If the power plants are damaged or destroyed or if there are too many defense stations, the power flow will cease and the turrets will go offline, rendering them defenseless targets for the enemy.
The option to build a defence station is enabled after a training camp is created, making them one of the first structures available.
Defence stations have a large health bar and can take a considerable amount of punishment compared to other structures and vehicles.
Like all structures, the defence station can be hacked into by alien saboteurs. The defence station is better protected than other buildings, as it will easily kill a saboteur before it gets close to it. However, if the turret is distracted by a bigger threat the saboteur will occasionally be able to slip past its defences. Once hacked, the defence station fires green blasts and fires at the human structures.
