- The LEGO Dice has the same pieces as the Heroica sets (except for the Heroica Shield, which is replaced by The One Ring).
- Lurtz appears as a microfigure, although this event took place in the second film, whereas Lurtz died in the first film.
- Eomer was missing from this set, as he had also take part in this battle and he had released in Minifigures form in the same scene.
- This is the final LEGO Games set to be made before the theme was discontinued.
