Hel (ヘル), the Queen of Darkness comes from the Death Clan of Immortals, and serves as the main antagonist of Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand. She is the sister of Mani, Django and Sabata's mother. Hel kidnapped and raised Sabata, effectively making him into the opposite of his brother. Although she was queen, she did not garner universal respect from all Immortals, being mocked by immortals from the other two clans. This disrespect is exemplified when Black Dainn quips "Imagine someone like Hel becoming queen! What a bad joke!" in Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django.

- Like all the final bosses in the trilogy, Hel is named after Loki's children of the same name, with her skeletal final form being based on the mythological Hel's description.
- Given her status as Mani's sister, it can be implied that Hel herself was also one of the Lunar Children prior to becoming the Queen of Immortals.
