Fantam is a boss enemy that appears in Breath of Fire IV. It is encountered in the Faerie Village and, after its defeat, the player gains access to the minigame aspect of the village.

Role in Breath of Fire IV[]

Fantam is a boss whose appearance is only triggered once you defeat his offspring. They are the ones who took over the Faerie Village resulting on the Faeries' loss of knowledge on how to run the place.

Appearance[]

Fantam has the appearance of a bouncing huge pink ball with an enormous nose. It varies in size depending on what type of attack is used against it: growing when struck by physical attacks and shrinking when hit by magical ones. Its physical defense increases when he grows larger, but its magic defense decreases as well. Conversely, its magic defense increases and his physical defense decreases when it shrinks.
