Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here!
I love a quick and simple stamp set to create a quick card. Along with that, I LOVE a good font. I always think of Plaid Tidings Very Merry when I want to make a Christmas card. I just love that big font and how it works so well for a full focal point of a card. I mixed several sets to create today’s card so let me share a list:
- Plaid Tidings Very Merry Stamp Set and Die set
- Postal Frames Die Set
- Postcard Details Pierce Plate
- Postal Modern Stamp Set
- North Pole Post Stamp Set and Dies
First up, I used a light gray layer of cardstock that I die cut with largest Postal Frame and the Postcard Details Die. I attached this to a white card base and then added in the North Pole stamp, the postage lines and the extra little details. Then I stamped the large So Very Merry and added it to the card. To finish off the card, I added some glossy accents on the holly and a little striped washi on the side. Love those easy details!
You know I love clean and simple with lots of white space but I always love to share a few tips for adding in more detail:
- Use the plaid stencils for the Very Merry stencil set to add in detail to the main sentiment.
- Use the Crimped Frame on the layer for a different look.
- Add in more detail with a Chrismtas tree or stars in the background or even a plate of cookies from Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats.
I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project! If you are inspired to create a clean and simple card, please tag me when you share over on Instagram! I love to see all your creations!

Ahhhh Lori, so pretty!
Laurie , your festive postcard style with the large sentiment is a great combination! It will show up nicely in Christmas card displays at home. My cards have changed over time and I’ve leaned towards more white space as well. Appreciate all your tips, great inspiration!
