Orochiō (オロチ王, Great Snake King; Viz "Snake King") is a technique of Renji Abarai's true Bankai, Sōō Zabimaru.
Description[]
The blade portion of Sōō Zabimaru changes into a larger, serrated form as the vertebrae around Renji's waist unfurls outward like a tail.[1] From here, Renji can attach the blade and its gauntlet to the end of the vertebrae, allowing it to appear and function similar to Renji's former Bankai, Hihiō Zabimaru, including grabbing objects between its jaws. The blade can also be heated until it is red-hot, allowing it to melt surfaces on contact and create powerful explosions upon impact.[2]
