- Unlike 1999 Mode, 1998 mode is available from the start.
- By finishing the game on 1998 Mode, the player will get this Achievement/Trophy along with Paid in Full, if they haven't already achieved it.

- The Achievement/Trophy icon depicts Rapture's Lighthouse symbol with the text 1998 on it.
- The same image is used for the Paid in Full Achievement/Trophy, only without the 1998 text.
- The name "Taffer's Delight" is a reference to the Thief video game series, where "taffer" is a common insult heard in all its games.
