Encephalonus IV is a large planet filled with massive towers and facilities built upon rocky mountains and canyons. Coral can be seen on rock walls and mountainsides.
The buildings' interiors are mostly filled with dark rooms, long corridors, bridges and computers.
Technology present on Encephalonus IV is very futuristic and advanced, in accordance with the fact that Cerebrocrustaceans have extremely high intelligence. Most of the machinery and transportations present include jet-powered, interchanging platforms; laser beams used to activate switches that open doors or turn on other machinery; high-speed subway trains that are powered by electrical coils; numerous satellites and pylons, plus advanced computer systems.

The nearby planets of Encephalonus I, II and III, which share a sun with Encephalonus IV, comprising their own solar system, have long been depleted of their own natural electrical resources by the predecessors of the Cerebrocrustaceans. Learning from the mistakes of their ancestors and determined not to repeat past disastrous errors, the Cerebrocrustaceans have evolved to be able to generate their own electrical storms using only the power of their minds, contributing to their homeworld, rather than depleting it.[AF VG 1]

Etymology[]
The name of the planet comes from the word "encephalon", meaning "brain".

- Encephalonus IV has at least two moons.[1]
- Originally, Encephalonus IV was a gray, cloud-covered planet with lightning bolts constantly ripping through the sky in an unending electrical storm of spectacular cumulonimbus activity unrivaled by any in the universe.[AF VG 1] These storms were the main source of power for the planet.[guide 1] This was retconned in Omniverse, where it is shown that the planet has relatively normal weather.[1][BTP 1]
