Pick-Quick-Nic is a point and click minigame where multiple trays of food will be displayed on the table. In each round, several covered plates will be placed onto the picnic table. Baldi will think of one or more food items he wants to eat, and the player must pick a food item Baldi is not thinking of once the covers are lifted. The food item the player picks is what they will eat, not Baldi. If the player takes too long picking a food item, Baldi will eat all of the food on the table, causing the player to get a strike and lose the round. The player will also get a strike when they click on a covered plate or pick any food item that Baldi was thinking of.
It's a Bully (although he is not seen in the minigame) may also place bombs on some trays from time to time. The player must remove any bombs before selecting a food item, or Baldi will explode, and they will receive a strike.
The speed and number of trays will increase with each round, along with the difficulty. Foods with minimal differences (like hot dogs or pizzas) may appear, making the minigame more challenging.
If the player completes all 8 rounds, then the minigame is beaten and the results will say: "I'm stuffed! You are too? Great, now we're ready for a hike!". However, if the player gets three strikes, a game over will happen and the results say: "I'm stuffed! You're still hungry? But we just ate a big lunch!".
The gameplay is almost identical to Hide-and-Seek/Explorer Mode, but the player will get points depending on how fast they pick the correct food and the minigame lasts for 16 rounds in this mode.

When the covers are lifted, quickly grab a food that I am NOT thinking of! Whatever you click on is the food YOU'RE eating, NOT ME!
For example, to win this round, you could click on the apple, the chicken leg, or the hot dog.
Be quick though! If you take too long, I might just grab everything on the table without thinking and you'll miss out and get a strike. Sorry about that!
If you click on one of the foods I AM thinking of, that will make me sad, and you'll get a strike!
That no-good bully likes to pull pranks, so sometimes he'll sneak a few bombs into our meal!
When this happens, click the bombs to knock them away, and be sure to do it before grabbing some food!
If I see you've already eaten, I'll just grab everything on the table and... Whoops! That's another strike! Get three and that's game over!
Watch out! Some rounds are very tricky!

The name "Pick-Quick-Nic" is a play on the phrase "Pick-quick" and the word "Picnic," both of which describing the minigame.
This minigame was originally supposed to be called "Picnic Panic", but this was eventually scrapped, because another game, The Messenger, had a DLC named "Picnic Panic".[1]
The highest possible score in this minigame is 1600, though it would require near-perfect speed and reaction timing.

It is likely a reference, as mystman12 has commented on a video of a playthrough of Millroy Lost His Milk!.[2]
Baldi's eating sound is a reference to the cafeteria minigame from JumpStart 1st Grade.
The Baldi popsicle item may or may not be a reference to the famous SpongeBob popsicle. The eyes are also misaligned, like how common it is for SpongeBob popsicles to have misaligned eyes.
On September 13, 2024, mystman12 has confirmed on Twitter/X that the green topping on one of the hot dogs is intended to be dill pickle relish.[3]
In Field Trips mode, there is a rare chance that Baldi only thinks about milk cartons, but there is no milk carton on the picnic table.[4]
There are multiple reused audios in this minigame:
When Baldi explodes after eating a bomb, it makes the same sound as when failing to sort the logs correctly in the second version of camping. It also plays in Campfire Frenzy when a chocolate roll or rocks are launched into the campfire.
When a bomb is removed from the plate, it makes the same sound as when a 'Nana Peel is dropped or when character finishes slipping on it.
When the player chooses the correct food, it makes the same sound as when the player picks up a green plus icon.
When the player does not choose the correct food in time, it makes the same sound as when the player answers a problem incorrectly in Baldi's Math Machine.
Glitches[]
Sometimes, one of the foods that Baldi is thinking about does not appear in the plates.
Baldi will still do the eating animation when there is no food left for him.
