The Diet BSODA is an inventory item in Baldi's Basics Plus.

Description[]

The Diet BSODA's appearance is almost identical to the regular BSODA, but with a cyan colored can and blue colored text. The text also reads "DIET BSODA" as opposed to "BSODA".

Usage[]

The Diet BSODA functions the same as the normal BSODA, but the spray disappears after 3 seconds as opposed to 30 with regular BSODA.

Advantages[]

• The Diet BSODA is more common than regular BSODA, meaning the player should be able to have more on hand.

Neutral[]

• Like the regular BSODA, if Principal of the Thing sees the player using the Diet BSODA, he will scold them for breaking the "No drinking" rule and try to send them to detention. However, if the Principal shows up few seconds after the Diet BSODA is used, despite the Diet BSODA spray displaying in front of him, he will not scold the player or send them to detention. The Principal will also not scold the player for using the Diet BSODA if:
  • They are wearing the Faculty Nametag.
  • They are in the playground or his office.

Disadvantages[]

• Since Diet BSODA lasts only 3 seconds unlike regular BSODA, any NPCs that get caught in its splash will likely stay stuck to it for a shorter period of time, which may not be able to save the player from dangerous situations.

Locations[]

The Diet BSODA can be obtained from vending machines. It can also be found in faculty rooms and classrooms.

Trivia[]

• This item was teased by mystman12 in one of his Instagram posts. This teaser contains the undithered render of the Diet BSODA found on its vending machine.^[1]
• The Diet BSODA is inspired by the commonly found diet versions of various sodas, like Coca-Cola, without sugar.
• The store description references the fact that the Diet BSODA spray lasts 90% shorter than regular BSODA.
• The Diet BSODA is one of the few items that has a separate alternate sprite for when it is displayed in the inventory, along with the Alarm Clock, Portal Poster, and regular BSODA.
• This is the second item that is a variation of another item, after the plus icons.

Glitches[]

• In V0.6, any Diet BSODAs stored in the storage locker would disappear from the player's inventory and the after saving and quitting, then playing the saved game.
