The Third Fane of Chudomo were a Minbari religious clan that had served with honor since around 1591.[1]
History[]
During the Earth-Minbari War, many of the Third Fane of Chudomo were aboard the Drala Fi when it was destroyed and so in 2259 they conspired to remove Sheridan "Starkiller" as Babylon 5's Commanding Officer. On board the Drala Fi were several members of the Third Fane of Chudomo, and Ashan hoped to force Sheridan out of his position by framing him in the murder of Lavell, but was thwarted thanks to the co-operation of Lennier, also of Chudomo. The clan was saved from near-devastating dishonor when Sheridan offered to keep the clan's involvement secret in gratitude to Lennier.[2]
Traditions & Rituals[]
Glivinn is a traditional dinner of the Third Fane of Chudomo and may only be prepared and eaten on Valen's Day. It includes glomo fruit, summer tyr, qual'fha, two yla leaf cakes. fresh baby yla leaves and a soft cheese and herb spread with a dressing of sweet temple oil, chopped jenn bulbs, Owala paste, shredded Valen's herb and fresh chopped pil'sha.[3] Members of the Third Fane of Chudomo began a tradition of setting aside one piece of flarn (a recipe Valen himself is credited with) before their meals, in the memory of Valen, in the place that is set aside for his return.[3]
