Harrold Westerling was a knight from House Westerling and the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard under King Viserys I Targaryen.
In the television adaptation House of the Dragon, Harrold is portrayed by Graham McTavish.[2]

History
It is unknown when Harrold became Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. At the earliest he could have been the successor of Ser Ryam Redwyne who died in 105 AC.
Upon his own death in 112 AC, Harrold was succeeded as Lord Commander by Ser Criston Cole.[3][1]
Family
Harrold's exact relationship to Lord Roland Westerling and his daughter, Johanna, is unknown. Roland was head of their House by the Dance of the Dragons, and Johanna had married Jason Lannister to become Lady of Casterly Rock.

House of the Dragon
While Harrold Westerling's only mention in the book series is a record of his death, he is given a much more expansive role in the HBO series House of the Dragon, where his actor is part of the starring cast in Season 1. He is said to have served in the Kingsguard since the time of Jaehaerys I Targaryen, and to be a paragon of chivalry and honor.[2]
