A time courier is a device resembling a wristwatch formerly used by the Time Bureau and currently used by the Legends. It allows the user to transport themselves through time and space without the need of a timeship or time sphere.
As going through these portals does not involve going through the temporal zone, there are no side-effects from traveling through time via time courier portals.
History[]

At some point in time, the Time Bureau and the Legends started using the time couriers to travel through time without using the Waverider.[1]
In Salvation in 1874, Damien Darhk was resurrected as an Encore and stole Gary Green (of 2018)'s time courier to go to his daughter in 2020.[2]
Sara Lance used a time courier to go to 2040, so she could take Mia Queen to her father's funeral in 2020. After the funeral, Mia used it to return to 2040.[1]
When Behrad Tarazi and Nate Heywood visited Behrad's family for his father's birthday in 2044, Zari Tarazi confronted her brother and Nate about seeing them in a video from Heyworld from 2019 (when Behrad hadn't even been born yet). Behrad then used a time courier to send Zari to the Waverider to prevent her from telling their parents.[3]
Behrad later used the time courier again to go save Zari from the people she attracted at the launch of her perfume with Marie Antoinette's magic perfume.[4]
When Charlie wanted to escape the Legends, she went looking for a time courier, which Behrad took.[5]
When Ray Palmer and Nora Darhk were moving out of the Waverider they used a time courier to get off the ship.[6]
Gary Green used a time courier to get Gary Jr. II.[7]
Charlie went to an abandoned house near the campus of Hudson University and used a time courier to open a portal to John Constantine's house so when anyone came through the door to see Delta Chi Sigma, they saw a presentable place. [8] Astra Logue took the device, leaving the Legends stranded in England and used it to help Atropos and Lachesis hijack the Waverider. Hoping to reconnect with his teammates, Gary Green and "Gideon" procured a time courier but they were caught by the Fates.
During the England Zombie Apocalypse, Charlie used a time courier to escape back to the Waverider.[9]
Sara used a time courier to get her mother's engagement ring from present time and go back to 1970's London to propose to her girlfriend.[10]
Ava Sharpe used a time courier to exit the Waverider to convince Esperanza Cruz to help the Legends find Sara after she was abducted by aliens.[11] She later used one to trick Lord Knoxicrillion to walk through a portal leading to the Waverider by telling him it was his own exclusive green room as part of being a finalist on Da Throne.[12]
Mick stole Ava's time courier to open a portal to his daughter Lita in 2023 to transport her onto the Waverider. Lita, Sara and Gary Green later used one to follow Mick after he went after her boyfriend.[13]
