Biography[]
Working at the Daily Planet[]
In the 2000s, Jimmy began began working at the Daily Planet alongside his sister Janet.[1] Shortly after the arrival of Superman on Metropolis, Jimmy got a photo of the hero saving a boat sinking off Hob's River.[2] Jimmy was determined to become friends with Clark Kent after seeing his sister hanging out with Clark's fiancé Lois Lane all the time, convincing Kent to join the Daily Planet softball team so they could play together.
While their first games were good, Clark began to disappear during other important games leading up to the championships, with Jimmy quickly realizing that at the same time Clark disappeared, Superman did a save around the world. Convinced that his would-be best friend was Superman, Jimmy confronted Clark about it, but he denied being Superman. After Clark didn't show up to their last game but Superman also didn't save anyone that day, Jimmy believed that Clark probably just didn't wanna hang out with him, deciding to stop trying to be his friend.[1]
Reunited with Clark[]
After Clark publicly reveals his identity to the world through an interview conducted by Janet, Jimmy reunites with him in Smallville at Vicky May's, and they catch up on lost time.[1]
