A Hoverby controlled by Phage.
The Hoverby is a Badnik variant developed by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.
History[]
Several Hoverbys were employed by Eggman in an operation on Isolated Island, and were left behind when he was thwarted by the Chaotix. These were repurposed by Dr. Ellidy along with other leftover Badniks to serve as his protectors and assistants. One Hoverby was stationed at the island's Lake of Rings, but inexplicably stopped transmitting footage back to Dr. Ellidy's House. When Sally Acorn and Big the Cat investigated on Ellidy's behalf, they found the Hoverby apparently inactive, only for it to attack them. It would later be learned that the computer virus Phage was responsible, and she commandeered the remaining Hoverbys and other Badniks on the island to attack Ellidy and his allies in an attempt to claim his research for Dr. Eggman. However, Phage was eventually defeated by Overclocked Nicole, freeing the Badniks from her control. (VG: KC; SU: #71, #72, #73, #74)

- The Hoverbys originated in the game Knuckles' Chaotix, where they are officially known as the Hoverby Mk II-any Mk I models are unknown.
