Walter Finch is the main antagonist of the 2002 thriller film Insomnia. He is a hack mystery writer who beats a teenage girl to death after she rejects his advances, and tries to blackmail homicide detective Will Dormer into framing someone else for the crime.
He is portrayed by the late Robin Williams.
