The Strange, dead monster was a placeholder monster used in the teaser for Godzilla (2014). On the Internet, it is commonly known by its fan nicknames, "Vishnu" and "Talaghan."

While the Strange, dead monster did not appear in the movie itself, it did appear in the teaser for Godzilla (2014). The monster served as a placeholder for the actual monster(s) Godzilla would be fighting.
