Joseph Martello or better known as Hammerhead is the main antagonist of Spider Man's last two DLC.
History[]
Biography[]
Hammerhead was born in Russia at an unknown point, and he was recruited by one of the five family members of the criminal organization known Maggia, and before his near death, a surgeon then saved him, and implating a steel plate in his head in the process. And the incident scarred him, he would eventually become a homicidal maniac and become one of the organization's most influential leaders.
DLC
The Heist[]
Following the arrest of Doctor Octopus, Hammerhead resolves to break the ceasefire between the Maggia families, and planning to regain Maggia's respect and fear, he hires Black Cat to steal the five data units needed to acess the Maggia family, bank account that is matched by Maggia one is your possession. However, Black Cat steals them for herself and including what belongs to him, thus deceiving him. Giving also four fakes, however Hammerhead's subordinates soon discover that Black Cat has stolen the units for himself. Frustating Hammerhead, which Hammerhead orders his subordinates to blow up Black Cat cover in revenge, and despite Spider Man's attempts to save her, Black Cat apparently explodes in the blast, and Hammerhead watching.
Turf Wars[]
With Black Cat's mistake, causing Hammerhead to charge his plans, he then begins to kill the other members of Maggia, and taking control of the organization, while the other members come together to protect defend their territory, Hammerhead steals the Sable International's technology giving him a powerful advantage over his enemies. And with his new weaponry he declared war on the other factions. Soon after the Hammerhead base in attacked by the NYRP squad led by Captain Yuri Watanabe and Spider Man. However, Hammerhead and his subordinates dominate Watanabe and his team, and start executing the officers one at a time. Spider Man arrives in time to stop Hammerhead from killing Yuri, but Hammerhad escapes. And Hammerhead then returns to murder the other members of the Maggia dons. And despite one of Spider Man's efforts, Hammerhead captures dons, then Hammerhead causes his men to create a distraction for Spider Man and NYRP. And going after a Sable weapons convoy, and his real goal is to attack the Middle East that has Project Olympus, he also gets experimental battle armor, so he kills many officers and civilians in the process of that. Hammerhead dresses im the armor of Sable International and as his ultimate goal of taking full control of Maggia, he kills other dons on public and televised execution at a construction site. However, he is frustated when he arrives and confronts him and may defeat him. And before the police can put him in custody, however, Yuri Watanabe arrives at the scene, she overpowered with revenge, immobilizes Spider Man, and shoots Hammerhead in the head, yet he survives, and is rescued by his henchmen, that revives him with a taser.
Silver Lining[]
After her life comes back, Hammerhead becomes a cyborg, Silver Sable furious at having her weapons stolen, she returns to New York to retrieve her stolen technology after obtaining from Hammerhead's main henchman Tony, Spider Man and Silver Sable team up to face them in the Colexco building. However Hammerhead with his enhanced armor, he almost kills Spider Man, and runs off survived. He and Silver Sable use the drive to lure Hammerhead is later defeated after using a laser to break the garment with steel on his head.
Personality[]
Hammerhead is a cruel and sadistic man who is obsessed with power. He has no qualms about starting a gang war. Hammerhead also believes that in the past Maggia controlled New York on the basis of fear, and that the police knew their place. He wants Maggia to be feared again and the dons too soft.
Powers and Abilities []
Hammerhead has no human skills, however after transplanting his head with a sturdy steel plate, he can kill a man just by butting him, and surviving a headshot, he is also a great shooter. After taking on the Olympus project, which turned him into a cyborg and gave him superhuman strength that made him easily master Spider Man, as well as its durability and speed.
