Father Paul Silvano is a Vatican serial killer and anti-villain that appeared as the main antagonist of the episode Demonology in Criminal Minds of season four.

He was portrayed by Carmen Argenziano.

History[]

Biography[]

His previous life is not revealed and nor how Silvano became a Catholist priest who was sanctioned by the Vatican for exorcism in his colleagues. He along with his colleague, Father Del Toro who held a seminary together in Spain and in the Galicia. After Del Toro died of a heart attack, yet he had some rumors that he had been murder. Soon Silvano was contacted by an uncknown person whose son was in Galicia when Del Toro had died and it was believed that his son had never returned from Galicia, Silvano soon stated that he could rid his son of evil through an exorcism.

Some time after Silvano began exorcism, Silvano soon pressed the Vatican for diplomatic immunity, but they refused his request, so he appealed to the Italian government to help end the world's hunger, which included receiving immunity diplomatic. Also, Silvano took a sabbatical from the church for reasons.

In this episode, Silvano appears for the first time doing an exorcism in an man who is thrashing and screaming madly desperate for his life, then it is revealed to whether Matthew Benton a childhood friend of Prentiss, died of a heart attack during an exorcism previously. He and the other two are in Galicia, Spain, at the same time that Father Silvano was there too, but later Silvano sits in a small dark room with a single bed, with a small window and looks at the photo of a young man, he then takes the picture and simply the burning, remembering the previous screams, after investigating the previous killings, BAU is then able to get a name from an exorcist, Silvano, and discover that he is staying at a local hospital of her. Thid conclusion was soon taken by Father James who after an exorcism would immediately seek medical attention after performing so many exorcism, because the procedure is too exhausting to rest the body and mind.

Then two priests drag Patrick screaming into the living room. Silvano is later confronted in an hospital while dressing as a priest, he tells Prentiss to look in the top drawer of the final table in Italian. Soon Reid has found a document that shows him that Silvano has a diplomatic immunity, which means the FBI can not touch him. Later, after John Cooley opens the door of his house and is confronted by God. John continues to try argue by telling the priest to leave his house, but he is seized by Silvano's complicity.

The FBI was able to reach Silvano shortly before he killed Cooley, Hotch had already spoken with the Italian consulate to revoke Silvano's immunity that the Consulate agreed with this when they realized that Silvano was a danger to society by allowing agents to predicted, Silvano later extracted to Italy possible for the Vatican.
