The famous painting (ゆうめいなめいが, yuumeinameiga?, famous masterpiece) is a painting that can be bought in all games in the Animal Crossing series and collected by Happy Home Handbook in Happy Home Designer. In New Horizons, the painting can be donated to the museum and be added to the art gallery. As this painting can be bought from Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler, players should keep in mind that they may be purchasing a forgery. Despite being available at Crazy Redd's in both Animal Crossing and City Folk, it is a spotlight product in Wild World, and is therefore considerably cheaper. The painting is a copy of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo da Vinci in the sixteenth-century in oil on a poplar panel. This painting was started in 1503 when the Italian Renaissance occurred. In 1517, Mona Lisa was completed. It portrays a half-length woman whom is often described as ambiguous. Some speculate that the woman in the painting is actually Leonardo da Vinci as how he envisioned himself as a woman. It is one of the most famous and well-known paintings. It is valued at around $700 million which makes it the most valuable and famous painting in history.
