“ | There's an old tunnel that leads into the woods. | ” |
— Lana Winters[src] |
Briarcliff Woods is a dense tangle of forest that aprons Briarcliff Manor. The little known tunnel, when the manor was once known as a tuberculosis ward, is called the "death chute" for its purpose in the mass removal of the quickly dying patients, opens into the thick of these woods. This is where Sr. Mary Eunice goes to feed the inmates altered by Dr. Arden's cruel experiments.
Notes[]
- Briarcliff Woods is shown to be very thick with trees and bushes. This suggests that Briarcliff Manor is secluded, and is a fair distance away from any major cities.
