ALLSORTS WEEK 16

Good morning everyone! Saturday is here again already (where has this week gone?) I hope you are all looking forward to a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Lets keep the fingers crossed for some good weather.

This week it's my (Amanda) turn to set the theme and I am basically banning rubber this week!! Yup no stamped images or sentiments this week girls. (eeek) I will allow anything digital ~ so digital images, digital stamps, computer generated sentiments. If you're not a fan of digital images though remember there are hundreds of techniques out there that aren't stamping........parchment, iris folding, tea bagging, stitching, painting, decoupage........and thats just what I can come up with this morning!!

So get those forgotten techniques out and dust them off and, of course, enjoy yourselves!! Check out the fabulous DT samples, there is a wealth of inspiration for you there! This week as a prize I am offering this Stamping Up "polka dots" large background stamp. It's rattling around in the box so I will make sure to pad it out a bit with a few ribbons etc.

I hope you'll play along us with this week's challenge. We are all looking forward to blog hopping to see your non stamped creations. :o)

Winner and Top Five - Week 15

Good morning everyone

What a lovely time I had visiting everyone and seeing what you did with my sketch "with a twist" challenge last week.

I am so sorry if I gave some of you torture treatment
in asking you to "tear" your precious papers.

But well done and thanks for taking part - especially those who were uncomfortable with it.
You were very brave!!!

The winner this week - chosen by random org. is No. 8 - which is Lynda.

Congratulations Lynda. Please let me have your details (jules@halfwayhouse.force9.co.uk) and I will get your prize off in the post to you asap. It may be a bit delayed with the Bank Holiday but hopefully you will have fun with it when it arrives.

Now for my Top 5 - but in no particular order and after much deliberation:

Ang C

Karen B

Please take your Top 5 Allsorts banner and display it proudly on your blog.

Another challenge will be posted shortly by Amanda - I hope you will all find time to play along again with us this week.

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend.

Love Jules xx

ALLSORTS CHALLENGE - WEEK 15

ALLSORTS CHALLENGE 15

Saturday is here again and it is time for another Allsorts Challenge.

Thank you to everyone who joined in Brenda's "English Country Garden" challenge last week. There were some brilliant entries for us to look at. Make sure you check to see who won the £20 voucher from PDA and who Brenda selected as her Top Five.

This week it is my turn (Jules) to choose the theme and I have gone with a combination challenge.

Firstly you need to work to the sketch below, but also I would like to see some torn edges on your work this week. It can be just one edge or lots of edges - just tear your paper as much as you dare.

So you little "tearaways" - here is your sketch

The prize this week for the winner (selected by random org)
is made up of a selection of goodies .. .. ..
Papermania A - Z Clear Stamps (upper and lower case), Woodware "Tools Brads",
Papermania "Adhesive Stones" and a selection of some of my favourite ribbons.

Below are some creations the DT have put together to get you inspired and I look forward to coming to visit your blogs to see what you have done with my challenge.

Winner and Top 5 Week 14

I have really enjoyed looking at all your wonderful creations for my English Country Garden theme. The winner of the £20 PDA voucher selected by Ramdon Org is number 34 - Beccy. Congratulations, please mail me brenda@ibas.co.uk with your name and contact details.

And here are my Top 5 - you may all display the Top 5 Allsorts banner on your blog. As always it was very difficult to choose just five, so if your name does not appear don't be despondenet because you may be lucky next week.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Week 14

This week it is my turn (Brenda) to set the theme and I have selected "In an English Country Garden". This can be interpreted in so many different ways apart from the obvious flowers, which of course we would love to see, but how about teddy bears picnic, afternoon tea, you decide what it means to you - I am so looking forward to coming to visit you to see what you have created.

This week we are thrilled to have a new sponsor, PDA Card and Craft who are offering this weeks lucky Allsorts winner a £20 voucher to purchase products from them. PDA have been running an Internet based outlet for some years and last year they opened a retail store as well at Units 3 & 4 Cromford Road Industrial Estate, Langley Mill, Nottingham. They supply high quality cardstock from single sheets upwards as well as associated products such as envelopes, vellum's and card packaging, plus many other essential craft items. Their web site is well worth a visit, but get a coffee first, it's a real treasure trove of must haves. As well as their extensive range of products they always have lots of fantastic special offers plus really useful freebies with orders.

The Design Team have come up with some brilliant work to give you inspiration, please go and visit their blogs to show your support for all their hard work here at Allsorts. And don't forget to check to see if you are the lucky winner of last week's challenge and Gro's Top 5.
