I've been trying to get back into my stitching routine. My part of the house is a mess though... I really should be cleaning, but I decided to stitch this instead...


I also worked on "Beloved" a little bit last night. I think this one is going to take me the rest of my life to finish!! :)


Well, I no longer have internet. I decided to go ahead and cancel it. I'm sitting outside the public library right now using their internet. :) Only two more weeks now until we move! It would have been one, but oh well, what can ya do?? Write later!

Whenever something big in my life happens (birth of a child, moving, etc.) I always stress out by starting many new things. And these things are never small, no that will not satisfy me. They must be huge projects. For example when I was getting ready to have Matthew I started Carriage House Samplings Alphabets, Carriage House Samplings "Village of Hawk Run Hollow," and I'm sure there are more. When my SIL was getting ready to have my niece I started Mirabilia's Petal Fairy, Lizzie Kate Flip-It's over one, and Needleprints Ann Trump. Now, do you think any of these projects are even remotely close to being finished?? So what am I starting now?? Well, lets see - Happy Home Sampler (only two motifs finished) and now Beloved....

After seeing this cute pattern on Jane's blog, I knew I had to have it! It's just so cute! :)


I did a google search and found it at The Froggy Stitcher. I chose the pink of course. :) I also got some of those new thread rings (I can't wait to use them) and a couple packs of my favorite needles (John James #26). I promise I will show stitching here one day. I just haven't had the time. It's been so sad! I have so much to do and all I want to do is stitch! :) Write later!

...Appeared while I was away! :) I ordered "Beloved" by A Stitcher's Hands after seeing Gill's beautiful progress. Now I'm just trying to decide which fabric would be best, and if I should stitch it over two or one??


Here is the design with 32 ct. Vintage Lentil. If I chose this fabric, which I like a lot, I'd have to stitch it over one because I don't have enough to stitch it over two. So I was leaning a little bit towards this one....


32 ct. Vintage Examplar. I could stitch it over two if I chose this one. I don't know. I can't make a decision right now. My brain is mush! :) I think I need a nap!

Thank you to everyone for your kind compliments on my bedroom. I tried taking a picture of the living room, but I have terrible lighting in there (not that I'm complaining)! I'll try again in a few weeks. :) Write later!

edited to add: I just found this piece of Antique White linen in my stash, which is also a possibility!

And I'm exhausted!! My fingers ache (from gripping boxes and furniture) and my toes ache (from gripping my flip flops while trying move said boxes and furniture - what dummy wears flip flops while moving?). My stitching bag was not opened once. It was pretty much non stop work. We are halfway done. I just have to wait now until June 14 (we decided to delay our move a week) to move all of our stuff down here up there. I have a ton of packing and throwing away ahead of me. Fun, fun! I did manage to do a teeny bit of decorating...




In my bedroom I hung my two favorite Shepherd's Bush designs (Queen Bee Sampler and Beekeepers Cottage) on one wall and on the other wall my favorite L&L angel (Peace Angel). It was so good to see them hanging there. Like old friends I haven't seen in almost two years! Please take no notice of the hastily made bed! :) Well, I'd better get some sleep now. I've got to get back into my routine again! Write later!

I made a tiny start on Happy Home Sampler. There are a lot of color changes! More than I'm used to! I ended up going with the Cafe Au Lait by Legacy, but I'm using two strands, not one. I like the coverage better than one. I'm getting ready to go up to SC today. I'm in the middle of packing, so this will be short. I'm not sure when I'll be able to update next! I thought I would have my little Lizzie Kate design finished by now, but I'm not done yet! Maybe today? Well, I did start another little LK design for Habitat for Humanity (see Martha's here), so that slowed me down too. Tuesday night I went to my first Photoshop class. It was fun. I did learn quite a bit. I'm glad I decided to take it. Last night I went stitching at Golden Needle. That was fun as always. I was so tired that I almost didn't go, but I made myself because I don't know when I'll be able to get down there again.

Of course I got a little bit of stash. I scoured the bargin basket and found some good deals! :)



I got an Amy Mitten kit for only $5 (notice the names of the threads - aren't they great?)! And I also got a tiny Just Nan chart (Crystal Heart) with beads and fabric for $1.50! So I made out pretty well. :)

I have decided to join the Happy Home Sampler SAL with Becky, Amy, Vonna, Lynda, Jan, and Myrna - am I missing anyone? It's such a pretty sampler! I'm just trying decide on the fabric...


I really like the one above, which is 32 ct. Vintage Lentil, but I don't think I have enough fabric, so I'm leaning towards the one below, which is 34 ct. Cafe au Lait.

I finished up HN2 today! Woo Hoo! I'm so happy to be finished. Although I really like it I was getting ready to move on to something else. That's why these designs are so good for me. They are quick and easy and work wonderfully for someone with zero attention span! :)

A fat 1/2 of my favorite linen (32 ct. Vintage Examplar) from Elegant Stitch.


And a fat 1/4 of Smokey Pearl Lugana and buttons for "Seasons of Change" from 123 Stitch. Well, not much else going on here. I should have another little finish soon. I started another small Lizzie Kate today. Write later! :)

I decided I needed a little break from stitching the house on "Home of a Needleworker (too)." I made it to the roof with all that brown stitching ahead of me and decided I needed to stitch something with a little color to break the monotony. I got out "Plant Love" by Lizzie Kate (from the latest Gift of Stitching), which I had kitted recently. I thought it would be a quick, fun stitch and it was...

I got a lot of the house stitched yesterday. I don't want to put it down! :)
