Meh
I hate to say it, but this film is just meh. Nothing about it stands out as great or bad; it's about as neutral as a film can get. My reactions throughout the film included: meh, sure, OK, uh-huh, whatever, *shoulder shrug*. It exists. It's harmless, but it also adds no value. It's playing at Cucalorus 23 in Wilmington, NC this coming week, but I'm glad I chose to watch the screener link instead of seeing it in a theater at the festival. If you want to see it, go for it, as it is a film I neither recommend or discourage people from seeing.
Relentless Overuse of Wobble cam.
If that's your thing, you may love this film. The technique started to annoy me about 5 minutes in, and by 10 minutes in, I had to stop watching this. Wobble cam truly takes the viewers' focus away from the acting and the writing.
A great Canadian Indie
I really enjoyed this film and felt like a part of the Art Basel scene as I watched it. It's nice to see some deeply flawed female protagonists and the actors delivered on these performances.
