Add Jimmy Fallon to the list of late-night hosts surprised by the vice presidential debate between Jd Vance and Tim Walz. The NBC host opened his show on Wednesday night by declaring the face-off the “craziest debate yet.”

“They actually talked about policy,” Fallon said. “This debate turned out to be polite, friendly and intimate. It was jarring. Basically people were expecting a horror movie and they got a Hallmark movie.”

Later in the show, Fallon showed an edited clip of Walz agreeing with Vance and the two men staring at each other for an uncomfortable amount of time. “They agreed on so much they actually ran out of things to debate about.”

Exclusive: Netflix’s urban fantasy drama The Grimm Reality will not see the light of day. We’ve learned that the series from Dark producer Wiedemann & Berg and The Gryphon co-producer Dog Haus Films has been quietly shelved.

The Grimm Reality first went into development at Netflix’s German base and then into production in late 2022. We understand filming had completed, but it will not move further forwards at Netflix.

Plot details on the show were not revealed, but it was assumed to be based on the Brothers Grimm folklore tales of the 18th and 19th centuries. The series was billed a “fairy tale urban fantasy thriller,” according to What’s on Netflix, which initially broke the news of the show.

Show creators were Till Kleinert (Der Samurai) and Dog Haus’ Erol Yesilkaya, who is a producer and scriptwriter. Actors including Hyuan Wanner, Patrick Isermeyer, Eidin Jalali and Dennis Schuermann were cast.

Yet another week of 2024 has passed with a whole bunch of new choices for films to watch on the Ott Platform Netflix. A lot of new releases ensure that they keep the viewers hooked. While new releases like The Legend of Tarzan and The Kitchen made their way to the top 10 most-watched films of the week, the older releases continued to rule the charts.

In the Non-English films category, the Spanish film Society Of The Snow rules the list at number 1, followed by the German film Sixty Minutes at number 2 and the Telugu film Salaar at number 3. The Fast and Furious franchise talks a big game about family but doesn’t seem to care about much besides the action sequences. They just get too chaotic for my taste, but the new film Sixty Minutes is more ordered in its approach to having a frenetic action film that has a genuine familial core. There are a few issues as to how it uses a father-daughter relationship, but ultimately it is a well-crafted action thriller that might feel like Run Lola Run meets Falling Down sans the insane Michael Douglas and the time travel stuff.

Each month, Netflix adds a large library of new content to their streaming platform. Usually, there’s a good mix of Netflix original movies and shows, plus past and present TV shows from other networks and previously released movies, too. This month is no exception, with lots of originals coming, with some classics mixed in.
