Taps for Jeffrey

Jeffrey (David Niven) is shot by the police as he escapes from a plumbing store. All he has on him is a water tap.

Flashbacks tells the viewer that Jeffrey was a security guard in a bank vault. Audrey is the pretty blonde that flirts with him constantly.

What really flirts with Jeffrey is the platinum bars deposited by an elderly customer.

Jeffrey plans to steal it. One evening Audrey reads his mind and they both endeavour to steal the bars and head off to Venezuela.

The moment Audrey mentions her boyfriend Eddie, you can smell a double cross. Eddie plans to turn the platinum into water taps and send them out of the country as cargo.

A nice noir story but rather predictable. Niven is too posh to be a security guard.
