Goofs

When Helen goes to meet Lucia for her interview, she asked Gerry if he'd be there when she got back. He said "yea" But in an earlier scene he told Helen he had to go meet his friend and help clean out a spare room. He appears to have forgotten that "to do."

When James and Helen are sitting in the diner, they are drinking pink milkshakes. As the shots cut back and forth the shakes disappear and reappear. Also in the next scene James talks about drinking chocolate shakes, even though they were pink, not brown.

When Gerry and Helen enter the pub, Gerry orders them a drink with ice but the drinks come neat (no ice). Later as the are getting a table, ice appears in both glasses.

When Helen is meeting James on the tube after catching the train, her hair alternately tucked behind her ear/down along her face.

At the beginning of the film when Helen walks in on Gerry and Lydia, the straps of Lydia's dress change from being on her shoulder to hanging off her arms between shots.

When we first time see Gerry in the shower, his dark blue briefs are visible.

In the montage when Helen is working at the diner, the cook passes her a plate of food along with what looks like a frozen drink to take to customers. No restaurant prepares drinks in the same place it prepares food, let alone frozen drinks. (The hot climate of the kitchen would be an unsuitable place to make drinks.) The drink would have come from the bar.

During the 2nd to last scene, as the lift door opens and Helen walks into the lift, (from behind) you can see James talking to her as she walks in but it does not register on the soundtrack.

Early in the film when Gerry and Helen are in the bar, Gerry is seen answering his mobile phone to Lydia calling him, which he responds pretending he didn't know it was on.

This is the only time in the whole movie Gerry is seen with a mobile phone. Any other time he communicates with Lydia he does so on the house phone, and when he goes to the library, uses the library payphone instead of his mobile.

Early on, when Helen catches Gerry and Lydia having sex she confronts Lydia. A camera is briefly visible in the mirror behind Lydia.

There are numerous inconsistencies between the geography of the movie's London and the geography of the real London, including the Underground network.

Gerry makes a joke about withdrawing Helen's Class One Drugs. Great Britain uses an alphabetical classification system so class one should be class A.

At one point Helen chastises Anna for asking her "more questions than Jeopardy". Jeopardy! (1984) is an American quiz show that has only been briefly aired on British television. Even though it is well known in the UK, it isn't sufficiently part of popular culture that two British women would use this show as an analogy.
