Ewan McGregor admitted with total candour that he got an erection during the sex scene with Alice Krige. "There was a scene in which I had to lie on top of her and they were pulling back the sheet. They wanted to see my naked bum and her naked thigh, so we could not wear any underwear. Because of gravity and things, I got an erection - which was very embarrassing," said McGregor. But Krige said the chemistry between the two actors should not have worried her husband, the writer Paul Schoolman. "My husband had nothing to be jealous of. Ewan made it so easy and I loved the character I was playing so much that it felt okay to be nude. I adored Ewan. He was so much fun and had so much enthusiasm and such a delight in being there. But it's not like I was in love with him or anything. I adored being around him - but I'm in love with my husband," she assured.
