- Stephen: Kim, I know who you are.
- [brief pause; Stephen's voice turns menacing]
- Stephen: You killed my brother.
- [Kim screams in terror]
- Kim Fielding: [watching Adrian through the window] Do you think he'll like us?
- Kim Fielding: I don't think he's my type, he looks sensitive.
- Lisa Harris: How about me? Do you think he'll like me?
- Kim Fielding: Why don't you go ask him and find out?
- Lisa Harris: [Julia caught the oven mitts on fire] We having barbecue?
- Julia Fielding: Yeah, barbecue oven mitts.
- Kim Fielding: How about barbecued brains? Yours!
- Lisa Harris: I would.
- Kim Fielding: Would what?
- Lisa Harris: After driving all the way out here and putting on a nice dress, I'd go and meet him.
- Kim Fielding: Well I'm not you.

- Stephen: Adrian, you are the most creative person I've ever met. Everything you try to do you do better than anybody I've ever known. But you're utterly defenseless, you let the bad in with the good, it's a damn curse. But just think, just think how long you've had it under control. Now look, if it ever starts to overwhelm you again, tell me about it. Let me help, the two of us stick together through it, that's okay.
- Mrs. Harris: What did you girls do all night?
- Lisa Harris: We watched TV, what else is there to do?
- Mrs. Harris: Did your friend have a boyfriend over?
- Lisa Harris: No and neither did I if that's what you're getting at. We watched TV.
- Kim Fielding: What're you doing out here?
- Julia Fielding: I had a bad dream.
- Kim Fielding: What was it this time?
- Julia Fielding: The man with no teeth.
- Kim Fielding: He had teeth, Julia.
- Julia Fielding: He didn't in my dream.
- Policeman: [into radio] Adrian Lancer, trouble, 29707?
- Dispatch officer: Code 6, Charles, exercise extreme caution, repeat, exercise extreme caution. No risks, Milly, this guy torched his parents, we just got a call from his brother. You hear me?
- [Adrian speeds off]
- Policeman: Headed west on Mulholland and Forest running.
- Newscaster: And now a news update: police have attempted to apprehend a suspect in connection with the body found earlier this evening. The suspect, one Adrian Lancer of West Hollywood, engaged veteran policemen
- Lisa Harris: Oh my God.
- Newscaster: on a chase speed chase on Mulholland Drive.
- Mrs. Harris: What is it, Lisa?
- Newscaster: The chase ended when Lancer lost control of his car and plummeted nearly 100 feet to a fiery death. Police were operating on a tip from the suspect's brother, Stephen Lancer. Apparently the suspect had a long history of mental illness and was institutionalized after setting a series of fires, one of which resulted in the death of his parents. The body found earlier this evening has now been identified as Robyn Griffin, the suspect's girlfriend. We'll keep you informed for any further developments.
- Mrs. Harris: Lisa, do you know anything about this? Lisa?
- Lisa Harris: No! It's just, horrible and scary, that's all.
- Lisa Harris: [on phone] Kim, you're never going to believe what I just saw on the news. That guy, Adrian Lancer, he killed his girlfriend tonight! Kim?
- Kim Fielding: Lisa, what're you talking about?
- Lisa Harris: The guy is whacked! The police they drove after him and he drove off a cliff and he killed himself!
- Kim Fielding: Lisa, he's not dead, he was just here.
