Firstly, I need to say that I'm a Brazilian citizen, and a big fan of most of our 21st century movies. But Brasilia 18% is a crap from start to end. The screenplay is insane, the acting is ridiculous, even the prestigious ones. The technical aspects are too weak, the sound sometimes disappear, we can't hear properly what people say. The main point of the plot, the pressure over Olavo Bilac for declaring that the body was Eugenia Camera, has no sense, as the appearances of Laura, the dead wife. The movie is so slow that you do believe that something must happen and you need to pay attention. But nothing happens, and the end is obvious. In addition, that are a lot of factual errors about Brasilia, some aspects about that political scene that are obviously simplified with too much innocence. I'm very disappointed because there was a considerable famous cast and the writer and director, Nelson Pereira dos Santos, is very respected.
