With a combined 14 Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, including Producer of the Year in 2022, more than 50 nominations, 15 Billboard chart-topping songs, and more than 10 ASCAP awards, it is clear that Julio Reyes Copello has sent numerous shock waves through the Latin music industry. For more than twenty years, he's had the opportunity to write, record, and produce songs and albums for a slew of renowned international artists, from Jennifer Lopez to Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin to Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly Furtado to Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, Brian May, David Bisbal, and Alessia Cara, among many others.
Aside from that, Reyes Copello has also found the time to compose, arrange, and record the soundtrack for acclaimed VR experience Mars 2030, in conjunction with Nasa, Fusion, and N-Vidia; conduct and record the London Symphony Orchestra four times; compose and produce the original soundtrack for the Zorro series, featuring artists such as Carin Leon, Keith Urban and Juanes, and also for Koati, an animated film produced by Sofia Vergara; and write the soundtrack for American TV series Hawthorne, produced by Jada Pinkett and Will Smith. In September 2021, Reyes Copello established the Art House Academy to create a new educational model to develop up-and-coming artists. He also brought to the United States the first Abbey Road Institute in America, where producers and engineers learn the ins and outs of their craft in a real-world setting, with state-of-the-art equipment, including access to the latest sound technology in the first Dolby-approved Atmos Studio in Florida. In September 2022, the first batch of 10 graduates from the Institute, and 6 from the Academy, all signed with major record labels, were presented to the public.
Julio Reyes Copello is currently producing albums and songs for several major artists, writing the score for a new Broadway musical with celebrated Tony award winning producer and choreographer Sergio Trujillo, and composing the soundtrack for a television series to be aired later in the year.
