Petja Peltomaa (born 1971 in Ylöjärvi) is a Finnish screenwriter and showrunner, who has created six television series. Peltomaa graduated with Master's Degree from the Department of Film Studies from University of Art and Design Helsinki.
In August 2014 Peltomaa was appointed as the Head of Drama for production company Yellow Film & TV. Peltomaa is one of the founding members of Finland's Screenwriter's Guild and was the guild's chairwoman in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 the guild awarded Peltomaa as the screenwriter of the year.
Peltomaa created and co-wrote Finnish television series Kimmo with Tommi Liski for which they received Golden Venla Award for the best script in 2013. Peltomaa has also created the Finnish hospital series Nurses in 2014 and was the series' headwriter during seasons 1-3. She was nominated for the best screenwriter of the year in Golden Venla Awards in 2014 and 2015 for writing Nurses.
