- TriviaAriel Felix is an Asian-AmeriCanadian who grew up in New York and resides in Los Angeles and Vancouver, BC. He is an accomplished theatre actor, having appeared in the Broadway Tour of the blockbuster musical Miss Saigon. He recently starred in the American premiere of Philip Himberg's Paper Dolls at the Mosaic Theater in Washington, DC, directed by Broadway vet and Drama Desk-winner Mark Brokaw. In their review, The Washington Post described Ariel's performance in the play in one word - "Excellent!" Ariel is the recipient of the Best Lead Actor trophy by the Desert Theater League for his performance as "The Engineer" in a Palm Springs production of Miss Saigon. He has worked with acclaimed film directors Paul Thomas Anderson, Lisa Cholodenko, Nicholas Hytner and most recently, Peter Berg in Mile 22. He wrote and stars in The Others, an award-winning short film which is successfully making the rounds of the international film festival circuit and for which he earned a Best Actor nomination.
With fellow actors Marie Matiko and Paul Martinez, Ariel co-founded Vivace! Conservatory for the Perfoming Arts, a non-profit organization geared towards minorities and underprivileged kids, whose mission was to build self confidence through the disciplines of the arts. The school existed for ten years.
Ari is dad to 5-year old labradoodle Max.
