In October 2022, it was reported that Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson were co-writing a new Star Wars movie, tentatively dubbed ‘New Jedi Order’ with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy as the director. The film was supposed to take place after the sequel trilogy, possibly featuring characters from those films.
However, by March 2023, Lindelof and Britt-Gibson left, and Steven Knight replaced them as the screenwriter. Daisy Ridley was confirmed to return as Rey in April 2023, but by October 2024, Steven Knight also left, and George Nolfi was hired to write the screenplay, with filming now expected to start in late 2025.
The movie has seen numerous delays and problems with writers and quite frankly we have no idea in what state the movie currently is.

The future of Rey's New Jedi Order movie appears uncertain right now, but Daisy Ridley has shared an optimistic update. Daisy Ridley's surprise Star Wars return was officially announced at last year's Star Wars Celebration; she was won over by an exciting pitch from director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Since then, progress has been slow; Rey's New Jedi Order film lost its screenwriter, Steven Knight. There are rumors a new writer has indeed been appointed, but there's nothing concrete, and Lucasfilm recently pulled a previously-assigned Star Wars release date for 2026 - one generally believed to have been a fix for this film.
Ridley, for her part, still seems optimistic. Speaking to City Am, Ridley revealed she's party to conversations with Lucasfilm that may actually see her becoming a producer on the movie. "I’ve been over all of the developments," she confirmed, "so I feel more consciously involved [than before] but I remember...

Here are some of the major Star Wars characters who've filled the role of Darth Vader at one point or another - whether as the "face" of the franchise or as a villain who fits his pattern. Let's face it, there's something utterly iconic about Darth Vader. The Dark Lord of the Sith has a relatively minor role in the first Star Wars movie (later retitled A New Hope), but he became increasingly important as the franchise continued. Darth Vader essentially became the "face" of Star Wars.
All that made recent reports that Disney consider Daisy Ridley's Rey to be their most marketable character all the more intriguing. Rey is serving as Darth Vader's replacement, the face of the franchise who could potentially appear in multiple movies, which fits with Ridley's recent comments that her role and expectations are "evolving." The Star Wars franchise is rapidly expanding with live-action shows and movies currently in production. Recently it was reported that a new trilogy of Star Wars movies is in the making.
Lucasfilm has made a deal with Simon Kinberg, who has worked with them before. He co-created the Emmy-nominated animated series ‘Star Wars Rebels’ with Dave Filoni and Carrie Beck, which aired from 2014 to 2018. Kinberg also helped with ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens,’ the 2015 movie that brought the franchise back under director JJ Abrams.
These films could be episodes 10-12 of the Skywalker Saga, which began with George Lucas’s original Star Wars movie in 1977.
The latest reports state that Daisy Ridley’s Rey will play a big part in those upcoming movies, and now notable industry insider Daniel Richtman claims that Lucasfilm wants John Boyega to return to the franchise.

First announced for a 2020 release, Marvel Comics' tradition of Star Wars comic book adaptations finally continues next February with the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation.
Written by Jody Houser and illustrated by artist Will Sliney, the previously-announced five-issue limited series brings 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker film to the page at last. In addition to retelling the Resistance's desperate last stand, the shocking return of Emperor Palpatine and more, the series will include all new scenes not in the final film.
That last part is particularly interesting, especially as Episode IX left Star Wars fans with a long list of unanswered questions. However, we wouldn't necessarily go in expecting any more than what was in The Rise of Skywalker's novelisation. There's always a chance we'll be surprised.

Rey Skywalker is rumored to have an 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' role in Star Wars' upcoming trilogy, which could mean a major change to what many thought would be the next step in her story. A brand-new trilogy led by Simon Kinberg was added to the list of Star Wars' upcoming movies, which has left a number of questions up in the air, including whether these movies will be Episodes 10-12. Whether they are or not, though, they are evidently going to see Rey take on a role similar to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi, presumably in A New Hope.
The future of Rey's upcoming Star Wars movie, rumored to be titled Star Wars: New Jedi Order, has therefore been called into question. This is particularly relevant because it previously seemed as though Rey was going to be starting her own Jedi Order. With this new trilogy, that seems much more uncertain. It...

We are coming up on Thanksgiving here in the U.S. For many of us, the love and desire to put up decorations for Christmas begins now. The Star Wars franchise is no stranger to decorations for the holiday season.
Let's discuss some of the best Star Wars Christmas decorations.
The Star Wars franchise has many fun ways to decorate your home. One popular choice is the Darth Vader sitting at a piano by the fire portrait with stockings in the background. It has been used for paintings and puzzles alike.
Every Star Wars character you can think of also has a Christmas ornament that you can display. From Bb-8 to Rey and "Baby Yoda," each character, regardless of what you enjoy, can be found hanging on a Christmas tree. Hallmark has an Ahsoka ornament, which displays the popular character wielding her double white lightsabers.

The hype surrounding Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019 was through the roof. An early teaser trailer confirmed that Emperor Palpatine had somehow returned, and that alone was enough to have fans of this franchise losing their minds over how the Skywalker Saga might end.
Alas, the movie didn't receive a particularly warm response from fans or critics, with a disappointing 51% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It is, however, worth noting that Episode IX has a far more impressive 86% Audience Score.
Disney and Lucasfilm's strong marketing campaign ensured Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was a hit, leading to it grossing over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Now, some of the posters we didn't get to see half a decade ago have found their way online (via SFFGazette.com)

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... there was no paper. There were droids, spaceships with hyperdrives and moon-sized space stations equipped with planet destroying lasers, but no paper. Not even parchment.
If someone asked you to define the "Star Wars" aesthetic, how would you respond? The movies, live-action shows, and animated series all possess a specific look and feel, but can you boil it down to a sentence or two? Perhaps you could say it's a mixture of junk and sleek, but that's too general. There's something essential missing. And that essential element may be an ineffable quality. Maybe you just know "Star Wars" when you see it, and that's that!
Or maybe you could describe that singular aesthetic by what "Star Wars" doesn't have.

Lucasfilm is fully committing to Rey’s future in the ‘Star Wars’ saga, with multiple films centered around the character currently in development.
As revealed by industry insider DanielRPK on his Patreon, in addition to the previously announced projects by Shawn Levy and Simon Kinberg, another movie focusing on Rey is now in the works.
The first confirmed project will see Daisy Ridley reprise her role as Rey, with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directing. Set 15 years after ‘The Rise of Skywalker,’ the film will follow Rey’s journey as she takes on the crucial task of rebuilding the Jedi Order.
This film will delve into the post-Skywalker galaxy, offering fans a closer look at the challenges Rey faces as she becomes a mentor and leader to a new generation of Jedi.
While Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film is generating the most buzz, Simon Kinberg is also attached to a separate ‘Star Wars’ project.

Rey Skywalker is rumored to be taking on an 'Obi-Wan Kenobi role' in Star Wars' upcoming trilogy, which has me questioning what Rey's future in the franchise will holdparticularly in light of what her own movie was meant to be. Rey seems to be becoming the new "Darth Vader" figure in Star Wars, but that just makes one Rise of Skywalker mistake all the worse. Last year's Star Wars Celebration was an unforgettable experience, but one moment sticks out in my memory; Daisy Ridley taking to the stage when Lucasfilm announced her return in the "New Jedi Order." I'm terminally online, and I'm used to operating in a world where the mere mention of Ridley is controversial. Celebration was a welcome reminder that social media is not real life, because the sheer excitement at Rey's return was palpable.
As exciting as Rey's return may be, it's no surprise that progress on this New Jedi Order movie has been slow; writer Steven Knight has left the Daisy Ridley project, and its future seems to be in doubt given the news Simon Kinberg is penning a trilogy that may well become Episodes...

Often, the best movie villains are the ones who reflect key traits of the heroes. By acting as a foil, villains can highlight the flaws of the protagonist, or they can act as a cautionary tale about what could happen to heroes if they stray too far from the light. The most interesting movie villains are usually the ones that share a deep connection with the heroes, as if they are two sides of the same coin.
Great movie villains should feel just as nuanced and realistic as the protagonists, or else the entire conflict can fall flat. While pure evil villains have their place, it's usually more thought-provoking when the villain is just one step removed from the hero. By showing the hero and villain competing for the same goal, movies can drill down deeper into each character, highlighting the subtle differences that define them.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released five years ago, and yet, Reys chosen surname remains controversial why? Though the Star Wars sequel trilogy originally played with the idea that Rey was a nobody in the grand scheme of the galaxy and the Skywalker saga, at least it eventually settled on a family lineage for her. The reveal that Rey was a pseudo-Palpatine was arguably one of the most shocking narrative decisions of the sequel trilogy, changing everything we thought we knew about Palpatines master plan and Reys connection with the Force.
Of course, theres no denying that Reys connection to the dark side made for some interesting inner conflict, especially when it came to her dealings with Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, the other half of her Force Dyad. Rey being a Palpatine was never going to last, however. She wasnt a nobody, yet she rightfully wanted nothing to...

Marvel Comics has published adaptations of the Star Wars movies since the beginning, and finally in February 2025, we will see the long-awaited depiction of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation. Releasing alongside another exciting comics arc, we will have plenty to enjoy in the early months of 2025.

Meanwhile, writer Jody Houser is celebrated for her work on Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances and the comic adaptation of the series Obi-Wan Kenobi. It has been nearly five years since a "Star Wars" movie graced the silver screen. That movie was "Star Wars: Episode IX -- The Rise of Skywalker" and it brought the sequel trilogy to a close on an uneven note. What just about everyone seems to agree on is that the second and third entries in that trilogy were divisive, leaving Lucasfilm on uncertain ground when it comes to the future of the franchise. The future is, slowly but surely, starting to come into focus, with several "Star Wars" feature projects currently in development. And while much remains mysterious, it does seem that Disney and Lucasfilm have learned at least one lesson from the recent past.
Previously, Disney had not one but two new "Star Wars" movies dated for 2026, which seemed like a mistake. We'll get into the why in a moment.

Hasbro unveils their Star Wars Black Series Force FX Elite Baylan Skoll Lightsaber, which is inspired by the Ahsoka series. Making his debut in the premiere of the 2023 Disney+ series, the late Ray Stevenson portrayed Baylan Skoll, a former Jedi who became a mercenary in the wake of Order 66. Together with padawan Shin Hati (Ivana Sakhno), the pair of rogue Jedi aid in Morgan Elsbeth's (Diana Lee Inosanto) search for Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen), though Baylan has grander aspirations about their journey.
After making its debut in a lethal display of power against a helpless New Republic crew, Baylan Skoll's unique lightsaber has joined Hasbro's The Black Series Force FX Elite Lightsaber line, as revealed in the Star Wars: Gift The Galaxy promotional program.

It was announced that the actress known for playing Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Daisy Ridley, will be a part of the next trilogy of films. Her role is set to play the same that Alec Guinness portrayed in the original trilogy as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ridley was only 22 when she was announced to star in the sequel trilogy and has had an impressive career thus far. She is the perfect choice to return and be the anchor for the upcoming slate of films.
In The Force Awakens, she worked with Harrison Ford throughout the film. Ford, returning as Han Solo, was a strong mentor to the Rey character in the movie. Now, with her own stand-alone movie and then the three to follow, it would make sense for the actress to follow in Ford's footsteps in the upcoming movies.

It's taken five years, but Star Wars has finally confirmed how dangerous Dark Rey would have been from The Rise of Skywalker - and even hinted how Daisy Ridley's Rey could have become a villain in the first place. Grossing $1.077 billion in the global box office, The Rise of Skywalker was panned by critics. Although it's far from a perfect movie, it does nevertheless include a lot of ideas that sadly went underdeveloped; concepts such as the Force Dyad, or Rey's tantalizing vision of a future in which she turned to the dark side.
The latest update for EA Games' Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes features Dark Rey; all lore is always overseen by Lucasfilm, so the details of her abilities shine a light on both the story and potential power of the character.

Two weeks ago, reports surfaced that Lucasfilm had struck a deal with Simon Kinberg to create a new Star Wars trilogy. Kinberg will write and produce the films alongside Lucasfilm’s head, Kathleen Kennedy.
According to Deadline, this trilogy might be episodes 10-12 of the Skywalker Saga, which began in 1977 with George Lucas’s original Star Wars—a movie that, along with Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws,’ forever changed blockbuster films.
Jeff Sneider also backed up Deadline’s report, saying, “I’m inclined to side with Deadline on this one, as I’m willing to bet these three films will be positioned as Episodes X, XI, and Xii.“
He added that Daisy Ridley’s Rey would return in a central role: “I suspect it’s because I’m hearing that Daisy Ridley will come back for these new Star Wars movies, and her Rey will be positioned as the Obi-Wan of the new trilogy.

Another day, another hitch in the process to make a new Star Wars movie. Per TheWrap, Disney has removed an upcoming Star Wars film originally set to land in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026 from its schedule, replacing it with Ice Age 6. The movie was probably the long-incoming film about Rey (Daisy Ridley), who was introduced in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. That movie has gone through a lot of hiccups behind the scenes, with the latest being the exit of writer Steven Knight.
Will the Rey movie ever come to fruition, or will it join the pile of forgotten or discarded Star Wars movies, including never-made projects from of Taika Waititi, Kevin Feige, Patty Jenkins,Rian Johnson and Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss? Why is it apparently so freaking hard for the people at Lucasfilm to decide on their next move?
The Hollywood Reporter polled some insiders on that question.

Over the weekend, it was announced by Variety that a Star Wars film was bumped off the December 2026 release date for Ice Age 6. While we don't officially know what this film was, all sources seem to point out that this was the Rey Skywalker film setting up the return of Daisy Ridley to the franchise and directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
And I'm okay with this news.
There are several back-and-forth reports around the signing of Simon Kinberg taking on the next trilogy, which we discussed here in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category of news. Some seem to hint that it will be a Rey trilogy, which makes sense as she can be a major focus to build the next Star Wars era for a new generation.

Plucked from near-obscurity to more than hold her own as Rey in the Star Wars franchise, Ridley will be here to answer your questions
Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley was working in a pub when she was cast as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, having previously only appeared in a small number of short films and the 2015 horror-thriller Scrawl.
Around her subsequent Star Wars duties for the remains of the sequel trilogy – which she reprises for a yet untitled upcoming Star Wars film – Ridley swapped her lightsaber for assorted big-screen tales of homicide and rabbits (voicing Cottontail in the massively successful Peter Rabbit cartoon opposite James Cordon).

The Star Wars franchise is one of the biggest and most beloved film series of all time, capturing the hearts of fans across generations. But did you know it didn’t always pay as much as it does now? One of its iconic actors, who played Han Solo, earned just $10,000 for the first movie. Over time, though, his paycheck grew by leaps and bounds.

Widely believed to be the troubled Star Wars: New Jedi Order film, Disney and Lucasfilm has yanked a film from its schedule.
It’s not uncommon in Hollywood for rival studios to be developing similar films at the same time, with one usually getting to market first and vanquishing the other to the shadow realm for projects that never came to be. It also happens sometimes that a studio is developing two competing takes of the same project, but rarely does such an occurrence play out in the public domain as the Rey Star Wars saga currently is with Lucasfilm.
Given the current state of the franchise Lucasfilm supporters aren’t always easy to find, and even with a fanbase as fractured as Star Wars, frustrations with the studio’s handling of the series is pretty much universal. However, to give Lucasfilm its due, it can’t be easy developing...

One highly controversial moment from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker makes even less sense than it originally seemed based on Leia Organa's Star Wars history. Despite Star Wars: The Force Awakens being released nearly a decade ago, the sequel trilogy remains a hot-button issue among Star Wars movies and TV shows. There have been a number of problems with the sequel trilogy indicated over the years, although Rey choosing the last name Skywalker at the end of The Rise of Skywalker remains one of the biggest complaints to date.
Many have argued that this name change made little sense either because Rey didn't have a fair claim to the name or because the decision came out of left field. However, The Rise of Skywalker makes it clear that Rey had Luke and Leia's approval to take this name as her own. The bigger question is why Leia Organa...

Disney has now pulled an untitled Star Wars movie from its 2026 release calendar, and all signs point to the project being Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's Rey-focused "New Jedi Order" (not the official title).
The movie was scheduled to hit theatres on December 18, 2026, but is no longer on the slate, having been replaced by Ice Age 6.
Official plot details on the Rey movie have yet to be disclosed, but the film is expected to be set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker and focus on Rey training a new generation of Jedi warriors. It's unclear if the movie will ever see the light of day, but even if it remains on the shelf, Lucasfilm is said to have big plans in place for the former scavenger turned powerful Force-wielder.

Star Wars and Star Trek are often portrayed as rivals, but Lucasfilm need to learn key lessons from Star Trek's golden age. The last few years have seen Lucasfilm transform Star Wars into a bold transmedia franchise, but not everything has been successful. What's more, the latest reports suggest behind-the-scenes drama continues to plague the studio, even as Lucasfilm struggle to prioritize ramping up movies again at the same time as continuing their Disney+ TV shows. If reports are accurate, there's currently no real sense of direction.
To be fair, transmedia is difficult - and may well be even harder for Lucasfilm. It's worth remembering that, when Disney purchased Lucasfilm back in 2012, there was no real development pipeline bar "George Lucas likes this idea". Now, Lucasfilm is trying to manage multiple workstreams in many different formats. All that means the studio may be wise to look at others who...

As the main hero of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Rey Skywalker has been the obvious pick for Luke Skywalker's replacement in the Skywalker saga, but the importance of her return makes it clear that she's reaching an importance that's more akin to Darth Vader himself. Daisy Ridley's return as Rey was announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023, and it was met with a staggering amount of enthusiasm from Star Wars fans. Despite the controversy that continues to surround the Star Wars sequel trilogy, there's no denying the impact of Ridley's Rey, with this serving as the biggest example.
As Star Wars seeks to enter into its next cinematic era, Ridley's Rey is absolutely indispensable, something that has recently been revealed in true depth. THR reported that Lucasfilm acknowledges Rey is their most valuable "cinematic asset" going forward, and thus she's poised to make an appearance in various upcoming Star Wars movies,...

Disney originally had two Star Wars movies slated for release in 2026, but now it’s down to just one. The studio has pulled the December 18, 2026 project off the calendar, which was believed to be (but wasn’t certain) the one that would feature Daisy Ridley’s return as Rey. Ice Age 6, which was announced at D23 Brazil just last week, will take its place.
The other Star Wars movie still slated for release in 2026 is The Mandalorian & Grogu, which will be released in theaters on May 22, 2026. Honestly, I think it’s for the best. As much as Disney might want Star Wars to be another Marvel-like big-screen franchise, it just isn’t. Plus, given how long it takes Disney to develop these Star Wars projects, I doubt they could keep up that schedule.

The saga continues. To add to the constant confusion around the “Star Wars” franchise, Disney has removed an untitled “Star Wars” movie it had earmarked for a December 2026 release.
Disney has instead replaced it with…”Ice Age 6.” It now opens in theaters December 18, 2026.
No word on which of the seemingly dozens of potential “Star Wars” movies it was supposed to be in that release date. Still on the calendar for May 2026 is “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” which will be the first big screen “Star Wars” movie since “The Rise of Skywalker” opened in 2019. Another “Star Wars” untitled movie still has a placeholder date for December 2027.
It was also reported that Simon Kinberg would be writing and producing a new trilogy of “Star Wars” films, so the advent of those could have thrown off the prior plans for any other standalone movies. Among those in the works is one directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (“Ms.

Disney will no longer release a Star Wars movie in December 2026, with the release date now moving to Ice Age 6. 2026 is expected to be a big year for Star Wars, with The Mandalorian and Grogu bringing the franchise back to the big screen on May 22. Disney and Lucasfilm had also booked a December 2026 release date, widely assumed to be for Daisy Ridley's New Jedi Order movie, although few believed it would hit that date; Rey's New Jedi Order movie recently lost screenwriter Steven Knight.

The new Star Wars trilogy could feature Daisy Ridley's Rey Skywalker if rumors are to be believed.
The idea stems from Lucasfilm signing Simon Kinberg, previously associated with Star Wars Rebels, to spearhead the launch of a new saga in the generation-spanning space opera. The new trilogy, however, will not be a continuation of the Skywalker Saga according to The Hollywood Reporter. While existing faces may appear in supporting roles, the main narrative will have a brand-new story and characters.

Disney has removed an untitled “Star Wars” film previously scheduled for Dec. 18, 2026 from its release calendar. “Ice Age 6” will move into its spot.

Rey Skywalker's future in Star Wars remains uncertain, and recent news about Star Wars' upcoming movies makes me even more nervous about what the franchise's plan is for this character. Star Wars shocked many with the news that Simon Kinberg is working on a brand-new trilogy. Details on the new movies remain limited, including whether the new trilogy will be Episodes 10-12 in the Star Wars timeline.
I already have concerns that Kinberg's trilogy will be an insult to Rey if the movies are Episodes 10-12 and center on brand-new characters. Even if Rey was included in the trilogy in some capacity, this would effectively push Rey out of the Skywalker Saga just as Star Wars is entering a new era. Now, additional insight into precisely what Rey's role could be in this trilogy has me more concerned than ever that Star Wars might do a great disservice to Rey Skywalker and Daisy Ridley.

Why would the franchise want to go back to the post-Rise of Skywalker era, when all the interesting action in the Star Wars universe is occurring in the timeline of The Mandalorian?
When the Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk described modern consumer culture as “a copy of a copy of a copy”, he was probably thinking of Ikea churning out coffee tables with all the personality of an overcooked noodle, rather than the next episodes in a long-running space opera known for heroes who use quizzically reversed syntax. Nevertheless, he might easily have been talking about Star Wars, and the once great saga’s descent into self parody in the wake of reports from Hollywood that the future of the franchise on the big screen is to be based on ... yep, you read it right ... While one of the most prevailing theories about the Star Wars sequel trilogythat Rey was really a Kenobiproved not to be true, Obi-Wan Kenobi's bloodline could still be revealed in upcoming Star Wars movies or Star Wars' upcoming TV shows based on one key character. Obi-Wan is one of Star Wars' most powerful Jedi and one of Star Wars' best characters. It makes sense, in light of that, that audiences would want to see his legacy continued.
This is no doubt part of the reason the theory that Rey was a Kenobi became so popular. In fact, many continue to discuss whether this would have been a better path for the sequel trilogy given how poorly received Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's Palpatine plot twist proved to be. While the door is sadly closed on the possibility that Rey is a Kenobi, there is another Star Wars character who...

The Ruthless Aggression Era is one of the more prolific and iconic eras in WWE history. During that time, the company had to deal with a mountain of expectations, as the Attitude Era isn't easy to follow up. Not to mention that with pillars like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin both on their way out the door, it was anyone's ball game to grab the proverbial brass ring to become the next top star.
It truly felt like an entirely new landscape was shaping up in front of everyone's eyes, and it made for exciting television, not only in terms of moments but in terms of matches too, as some of the best bouts in WWE history took place during the Ruthless Aggression Era. With new stars like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, veterans who could still go like Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, and in-ring maestros like...

Nearly 10 years after her debut as Rey Skywalker, Daisy Ridley has discussed the significance behind her return to Star Wars, citing it to be "quite different" than before. Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced the world to Ridley and the Star Wars galaxy to Rey, forever changing the Star Wars mythos with her key role in the sequel trilogy. While Ridley experienced some unfortunate backlash in the aftermath of her debut, motivating her to take a long hiatus from social media, Ridley has maintained an overall positive outlook, especially going into her return to the franchise.
In speaking with BBC The One Show, Ridley reveals what it means to her to be returning as Rey after half a decade and longer, explaining the difference between her approaches then and now. Ridley reminds audiences that she was only 21 years old when she first debuted as Rey, and now that she's older,...

Welp. Lucasfilm has learned nothing if recent reports are to be believed. According to “sources” at the Hollywood Reporter, she is the only valuable asset that Disney has left. I wish I were kidding.
Disney took control of Lucasfilm and promptly flushed it down the toilet. They promised audiences Han, Luke, and Leia together again in the trailers for “The Force Awakens.” Instead, they killed Han Solo, didn’t show Luke Skywalker until the end, and made a movie that rehashed “A New Hope” with a bit of “Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” thrown in.
Here is the suggested watch order of Star Wars. May the Force be with you. (Image: Lucasfilm)
It was yet another Death Star—I’m sorry it’s bigger, Star Killer. Darth Vader was back, but now he was a kid throwing temper tantrums. The new Luke Skywalker could somehow outfight trained Sith with zero training,...

Star Wars viewers can be forgiven for thinking Jedi Force Ghosts and Sith spirits are the same thing, but they're actually very different. Force Ghosts have been part of the Star Wars franchise since its beginning, with Obi-Wan Kenobi retaining his identity when he was killed by Darth Vader. They've become increasingly common in the years since, with Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa all becoming Force Ghosts.
But here's the catch; immortality is the prize sought by the Sith, not by the Jedi. Palpatine in particular went to incredible lengths to try to avoid death, but he was far from the only Sith to do so. He learned many lessons from the Sith heretic Darth Momin, whose spirit was preserved within his helmet. Yoda encountered dark side spirits on the Sith homeworld of Moraband in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 6, and his light proved greater than their darkness.

With every Star Wars project, a major factor in anticipation is waiting to hear how the movie or TV series is scored. Not only does the music enhance the viewing experience and stay with fans long after release dates, but it also hints at what we should know about the characters. Who can forget the Imperial March's authoritarian melody or the trundling strings that introduced the Ewoks in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi? I remember speculating on hearing a snippet of "Across the Stars" when Rey talks about family in Episode VII: The Force Awakens and realizing two movies later that I should have recognized the Emperor's theme in her leitmotif. We have now learned the composer for Skeleton Crew, and there is a lot to be excited about.
