Josy Issac
- Actor
"Energetic as well as impulsive with a "Can-Do" attitude, Josy gracefully slides into conflicts. While his child- like curiosity for life and human behaviour lets him put up his analytic specs, the focus on his goals keep driving him forward with a smile."
Josy Issac is a German/Indian actor of stage and screen who grew up in an international environment and always saw himself as a "bridge" between worlds, cultures, classes. As a former executive in the business world, he in a split moment decided to follow his heart into acting and decided to give himself fully to latter. A passionate traveller he visited countries all over the world, where his talent for learning languages rapidly helped him to "connect" wherever he went. Whatever he learns, he integrates into his work: English, German, Malayalam as well as Spanish and Mandarin are among the most fluent ones while Hindi, Turkish and Bahasa are also part of his repertoire.
Josy did a major part of his work in Asia where he is mostly known for roles in the award-winning Channel 5 Drama series "Tanglin" and "There was a time in Singapore". As film actor Josy worked with Japanese Director Yu Irie, Indonesian Director Danial Rifki, as well as Singaporean Directors Jack Neo and Boon Jun Feng. With latter it was for the movie "Apprentice" which was a Cannes Selection movie. In 2021 Josy was cast as main character in the German Illusions-Musical "Das verschollene Bild" which toured through Germany. While still performing on stage and being part of independent film projects, Josy as well started producing his own film content in German and English with a group of colleagues and business partners.
...Light hearted with focus and discipline he gratefully enters each day he can actively contribute to the talented visions of this world...
