Prinya "Way" Intachai is a 1st generation American-Thai who was born in
Paterson, NJ. The second son of a Thai couple, whose families had
immigrated to the US, Way spent his childhood in Brooklyn, NY where he
excelled in sports being actively involved in baseball and track.
Outside of sports Way spent much of his free time watching movies and
pretending he was different characters in the films and quickly
developed an interest in the performing arts.
After graduating high school, Way took what was supposed to be a 2 month trip to Bangkok, Thailand to visit family. When he arrived, he developed a few friendships and started writing music and quickly became a driving force in the Bangkok music scene and had found his calling as a performer. Within 2 years he had released a successful pop album and had gained considerable notoriety.
As his popularity grew, Way quickly branched out into film and decided to focus his efforts towards acting. Leaving his music career behind, he moved back to NYC at age 20 where he began studying acting and managed to find a few roles in Independent films. Not satisfied with the speed in which things were happening in the acting world, he decided to go back to Bangkok in hopes of finding roles in Hollywood films being made in Thailand.
Upon his return to Thailand, Way quickly fell back into his music and has now become a staple on the music scene as a member of the award-winning group Thaitanium, which is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Asian urban music/hip hop. As Thaitanium grew in popularity, both in Thailand and throughout the region, Way still yearned to develop his acting career further and began auditioning again landing a number of different roles in both Thai and US Independent films. Way has enjoyed considerable success in the region as an actor, musician and model.
