- Aimé Clariond was very marked by the First World War in which he took part. Mobilized in the infantry September 12 , 1914, he was promoted to corporal in December and even sergeant in May 1915. He was wounded by a bullet in the chest on May 15 , 1915in Neuville-Saint-Vaast . Returning to the front in the ranks of the 101st infantry regiment in December, he was taken prisoner of war on June 1 , 1916in front of the Fort de Vaux . Sergeant Clariond was interned in the Chemnitz camp from which he was repatriated in December 1918. Poured into a section of Clerks and administration workers , he was finally returned to civilian life on September 11 , 1919.
