A Quick Monochrome Card

Sorry...... it's yet another Stamp Soup sample! This was another one made for the Create and Craft TV launch. It's super simple and yet (I think) really effective.

I've simply used the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamp impressions to create the flower, added a couple of leaves and a stem and then stamped the sentiment. The image has then been matted and layered onto some silver glitter tape and black card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Simple Tile Card

This is a really simple tile card. I'll be honest it didn't start out as a tile card but I made a mistake with it and I didn't want to or have time to bin it so I did the best I could with what I had!

The flowers and background have been created/coloured using Stamp Soup and Distress Inks. I've then cut the image into squares and heat embossed each square before mounting onto white card.

Thanks for dropping by today.

Gorjuss Girl Mini Matchbox Surprise Card

As some of you know I love the Gorjuss Girl collection from Docrafts but rarely seem to find time to play. Well I had a little time to play and decided I'd try my hand at making a mini matchbox card.

I think I'm quite please with the results and will definitely be making more of these.

I might use a standard depth large matchbox though as it's a bit of a squash to fit everything inside.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Some "bunny" stop me!

Groan..... yep it's more stamp soup today!

I showed this little bunny off in a previous post and explained that if you were new to stamping or not confident with masking that you could simply stamp the individual elements and layer them up. This is exactly what I did with this bunny. I think it's just as effective as one layer stamping - what do you think?

That's it for me today. Have a fabulous Easter Sunday and enjoy eating those eggs that the Easter Bunny left this morning!

Thanks for stopping by.

More soup? Today it's Chicken....

Well chick actually! For those of you who haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, it is of course yet another make using the fantastic Stamp Soup collection from Polkadoodles.

Today's offering is this little chick card which was really quick and easy to make. You'll have to excuse the colouring and the card itself.... it was my first attempt at using Lyra Pencils on Kraft. I think I've decided I'm not a Kraft kind of girl to be honest!

I used two different stamps to create the chick. If you check out this post here you will need to use the stamps that I used for the head and feet then simply add a pair of eyes, a little beak and legs and the jobs a good un!

Hopefully you're not too bored with seeing the projects made with this collection? I'm truly loving playing with the collection and seeing what variations I can come up with!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter to you all! Can you guess what I've been playing with again? I bet you can't....OK I bet you can! Stamp Soup..... I can tell you my mojo hasn't been this fired in a loooonnnnngggg time!

I'm still not making floral projects (although I do have a few in the pipeline as well as a few TV samples that I've yet to show you) as I'm having way too much fun seeing what else I can easily create with the stamps.

Today I'd like to show you a stamped bunny complete with carrot. Now I've done this using lots of masking but if you aren't sure about masking or are new to stamping you can easily create the bunny simply by stamping out the individual elements, cutting them out and layering them up (I'll show you another card which has been done this way tomorrow). I've cheated a bit on this and used punched butterflies (even though you can make some adorable little ones using the stamps) as they were an after thought and I have a few Easter cards to make.

I thought I'd stamp each of the individual elements so you can recreate the bunny if you wish.

Right that's it for me today.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Soup - Things are getting a little prickly!

Just a quickie from me today. I thought I'd show you another of my samples using PolkaDoodles Stamp Soup Collection. This was super quick and easy and is intended to show that the stamps are not restricted to flowers.

I used the leaf stamp from the Lavender Tea set to create the hedgehog (I'm actually kicking myself now as in my haste I totally forgot to ground the little guy). The border was stamped using the "beautiful" sentiment from the Lemonade Fizz set and one of the mini flower stamps from Lavender Tea.

I hope you like him and can see the potential in these unique stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today.

PS you can buy the stamps separately or as part of fantastic value CD and stamp set. I've provided direct links to the value set.

Have you tried Stamp Soup? Owl bet you haven't!

If you didn't catch Polkadoodles on Create and Craft today you'll be wondering what I'm talking about! Well there were FOUR yes four brand new releases today and two of them were a brand new stamp collection aptly named Stamp Soup which can be found here and here. If you pop over to Create and Craft TV there maybe some sets still available there but I know stock is VERY limited.

There are also some fabulous CD's which co-ordinate beautifully with the stamps. The CD's are jam packed with the most amazing templates, papers, chalkboard sentiments and flowers but sadly I ran out of time to play with them.

Now these stamps are just so clever, each set lets you create 100s of different stamping combinations of flowers, leaves and embellishments to create unique designs and projects. You can simply stamp petals and leaves to build up flowers and patterns, mask the stamps to create more intricate designs or think completely out of the box and use them for things other than flowers! There are literally hundreds of different ways to use this inventive stamp set, you'll be amazed and addicted once you start!

This is the first of my samples and it's not flowers!!! It's a small family of kooky owls. To create the owls I used the large heart (body and wings), small heart (wings), quirky circle (eyes), smooth cup shape (nest) and stem (legs) from the Lemonade Fizz Set and the single small petal (body), and mini spikey circle (eyes) from the Lavender Tea Set

I hope you like my project and I've inspired you to use the stamps in a slightly different way.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Vintage Birdcage Mother's Day Card

Just thought I'd drop by to wish you all a very happy Mother's Day!

Here's the card that I made for my Mum and Mother-in-law. Really quick and easy using the birdcage die from Sizzix and some decoupage from Docrafts Nature Gallery.

I gave the card a concertina base to give it some stability as obviously with the decoupage it gets a little heavy (sorry for the poor picture but I'd sent the cards before I realised that I'd not got the best shots!).

A couple of pictures of the sticker tiles - it was almost impossible to get a shot without the glaze on them causing a glare.

I hope you've all had a lovely day.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello....Is it me you're looking for?

Cancel the search party I'm back (well sort of). Just thought I'd stick my head in to see if anyone was still about?

Sorry I did yet another vanishing act but as always, life has a way of stopping me totally in my tracks by throwing a few curveballs not least of which was the very sudden passing of my Father in Law and a few hospital admissions with my daughter. To be quite honest I really didn't feel much like crafting, blogging or doing anything very much.

Anyway, enough of the all the miserable stuff this is supposed to be a cheery place where I show you what I've been upto creatively! Now I'm not promising that I'll be back posting daily or even weekly for that matter but I fully intend to try and post more frequently than I have been.

I'm also thinking of changing the way I blog my projects. In the past I've always explained fully where products can be purchased and how I've created a project. This is time consuming and it would seem not always appreciated by all of my readers, so it is my intention to simply blog my project with a brief list of supplies and the odd link to the occasional product. If anyone wants details of how to do something I am more than happy to explain the creative process in an email. Similarly if I post a tutorial and you are struggling with it then please do drop me a POLITE email and I will do my best to help out. If the supplies are unavailable from the supplier I've used - then Google will be your friend or drop me a FRIENDLY email and I will help you to source the product. I'd appreciate it if you could let me have your thoughts on this?

For those of you on Instagram you may like to follow me on there as I've found that it's a really quick and easy way of sharing my work. It also enables me to do sneaky peeks and work in progress shots. The viewer/reader can also give instant reactions without feeling the need to leave a comment which I know is time consuming! For hose of you interested, this is my Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/claire_boelema/

So I thought I'd show you a quick card using the freebie stamp from Docrafts Creativity Magazine.

Thanks for stopping by.
