Biography[]
Past[]
Branken was once a High Zobil who fought his way to the rank of high commander of the Infershia's military. Branken proved himself loyal to Absolute God and was upgraded the Zobil into his new most powerful minion. Using his immense power, Branken was able to take control of the Infershia and led the Infershia's invasion of the Surface Realm. However, an army of magicians were able to defeat the Infershia and seal them underground with a powerful seal spell with N Ma being even more deeply sealed. When the mysterious Wolzard arrived in Infershia, Branken accepted him into his leadership without apparently questioning it.
Magiranger[]
When Wolzard unlocks the way out of the Kedomono Realm in 2005, Branken is unable to escape at first because of his immense power and his lack of magic leaves him relying upon his allies to escape. Branken gathers his undead legions and tell the Infershia soldiers that they will invade and conquer the Surface Realm. Branken later berates Vancuria for giving him far too limited information about the Surface World, shortly after Hades Beast Troll is defeated. Branken later sends Wolzard with an army of Zobils but this plan is thwarted by the new Magirangers. Branken tries numerous attempts to destroy the Magirangers and conquer the Surface World by sending his monsters and minions to attack the town and fight the heroes, but always fails and repeatedly lashes out at his subordinates for their failures to defeat the Magirangers.
He seeks to fight and take down the Magirangers himself but is unable to due to being sealed into Infershia and lacking his own magic. As such, Braken orders Wolzard to steal the Magirangers' MagiKing magic to ensure his entry to the surface. Branken briefly manages to get on the Surface when Wolzard steals the MagiKing magic from the Magirangers's Majins and uses this power to release Branken to the Surface. Branken easily defeat the MagiDragon and split it into Majins but, when Branken is about to deliver his final strike to Kai, Kai frees himself and uses the counter spell to send Branken back to Infershia. Branken screams and begs Wolzard to help him but Wolzard refuses to help him and allows Branken to be resealed since he has the power he came for. When the plan results with Kai sealing Braken back into Infershia, Wolzard refuses to help Branken and uses the MagiKing magic for his own ends which sparks a rivalry between them as Wolzard seems to have left Branken trapped in the seal and, because of this, they constantly fight among themselves.
Vancuria later tries to destroy the Magirangers with Hades Beast Leech and vampirises Houka Ozu. However, the Magirangers again win, destroy Leech, later destroy Vancuria and saved Houka. Branken is furious and deems Vancuria weak and banishes her from the Infershia under the fear of death. Branken later creates a new plan of releasing himself to the Surface and sent Wolzard to to capture Heavenly Saint Lunagel to make her arise the Hades Gate to the Surface. Branken plans to release all Infershia army to the Surface to conquer the Surface World and destroy the Magirangers himself.
Eventually though, after Wolzard captures Heavenly Saint Lunagel, Hell's Gate rises to the surface and Branken is able to force his way through to take on the Magirangers. Branken initially overwhelms the Magirangers with the power of his Hell Fang but Kai later frees Lunagel and Lunagel seals the Hades Gate, ending the Infershia invasion and leaving Branken alone at the Surface. Branken is horrified that his power is fading away before Kai arrives with Barikion and forms FireKaiser. Kai attacks Branken with the Spin Fire Braid and the Magirangers again form MagiKing and fight Branken.
Branken then reveals his origins to Magirangers and taunts the heroes, declaring that Infershia will win and rule the Earth. The heroes gain the upper-hand against Branken and are granted an access to a new spell. When the Infershia general performs his signature Hell Slash, rather than being defeated before, Branken's sword is immediately frozen when the blades collide as Miyuki has manifested her spirit to aid them. With his only source of dark magic gone, Branken is defenceless against the heroes and can only watch as they finish him off with the Magical Family Slash with him only having time to express shock before being obliterated.
Legacy[]
Following his destruction, only his Hell Fang sword was left behind, which Wolzard later found and claimed for himself. Wolzard later reforged it into another WolSaber (the original was destroyed by Kai during their earlier battle). With Branken dead, Vancuria was able to successfully rejoin the Infershia without fear of death and resurrected Meemy to replace him as the acting leader. After his death, Branken was replaced by Sorcery Priest Meemy as High Commander of the Infershia's forces.
Shortly before the re-emergence of the Infershia Pantheon, the Magirangers used thier magic to search for Miyuki Ozu by using a crystal ball to search. To help this, Hikaru used his magic to scan Kai's memories of past battles that involved Miyuki which included the final battle with Victory General Branken.
Personality[]
Branken was a ruthless, brutal, wrathful and hot-tempered commander of the Infershia forces and determined to conquer the Surface World and help N Ma with his goals. He was the headstrong, arrogant and sometimes sadistic. He had a strong discipline for his underlings, and demanded them to take seriously their mission to conquer the Surface and defeat the Magirangers. He was an extremely wrathful and unforgiving and constantly blasted his subordinates for failing to defeat the Magirangers, such as when he vaporized High Zobil for failing their tasks. He also had a hige rivalry with Wolzard and wanted the Dark Knight to help him in invading the Surface Realm, but Wolzard refused and so Branken was furious and enraged and considered Wolzard a traitor. Branken's main weakness was his arrogance and confidence as he underestimated the Magiranger siblings and was defeated by their combined efforts and plan. Despite his ruthless, arrogant and savage nature, Branken was genuinely loyal to N Ma, always loyally helped him and was always polite to him.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Power: Due to his status as the general of the Infershia forces and N Ma's second-in-command, Branken was the second most powerful member of Infershia and possessed numerous supernatural powers and abilities. He surpasses in strength anyone of his underlings, and is surpassed in power only by N Ma himself.
- Super Physical Strength: Victory General Branken possessed Herculean strength, able to hurl MagiDragon (with MagiPhoenix riding it) with one arm with relative ease and even ripping it apart into the individual mecha forms with a single slash of his sword.
- Durability:, Branken was hit by Fire Kaiser's Spinning Fire Braid which knocked him down and didn't even wind him.
- Skilled Fighter: Branken was an incredibly good fighter in spite of his arrogant nature, being able to match Wolzard during a sword fight and overwhelming all five Magirangers in their mecha forms and even MagiDragon with ease.
Weaknesses=[]
- Lack of Magic: Due to lacking magic, with his abilities instead being derived from N Ma, Branken was unable to escape the Kedomono Realm without immense magical assistance.
- Hell Fang: Branken's Hell Fang sword was the only source of his dark magic since his High Zobil origins did not allow him to have natural dark magic. When MagiKing froze it, Branken was rendered powerless and was completely powerless to stop his death.
Arsenal[]
- Imperial Sword Hell Fang: Victory General Branken's sword which was forged from one of N Ma's fangs and was extremely strong.
- Energy Slash: Branken could charge up his energy with purple energy and swing his sword at full force. He only performed this once, as the opening attack of his last battle but it horribly shook up MagiKing.
- Energy Shockwave: Branken could charge up his sword with golden energy and then stab it into the ground and unleash an energy shock-wave. This was powerful enough to make parts of his throne room's ceiling collapse and destroy several High Zobils.
- Hell Slash: Branken's signature attack where he could charge up his sword with dark magic and would swing it to unleash a devastating upward purple energy slash. It was strong enough to take MagiKing down with one hit and mention to take the Magirangers right out of their mecha forms and de-morph them.
