Filibert von Wittan known as Fourfingers is a minor antagonist in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the Blood and Wine expansion. He is the leader of one of the criminal Hansa in Toussaint and one of the three public enemies of the Ducal Guard of Toussaint.
Biography[]
Filibert von Wittan was born into a wealthy family in Toussaint, where he joined the knights' guard in Toussaint. At one point, Philibert took over the challenge of dueling with another knight named Maximus Macrinus for the love of a woman. Filibert lost during the fight with Maximus, losing a finger in the process. Despite his defeat, Macrinus spared Filibert, but this caused Filibert shame and disgrace. After the defeat, Filibert decided to leave Toussaint to conspire against Macrinus, establishing his criminal Hansa operating in Toussaint, gaining recognition in the kingdom as a brutal and dangerous group in Toussaint. The headquarters of the Hanseatic League Filibert is the abandoned old castle of Mont Crane east of Toussaint, where they nest in a castle.
Some time later, Filibert and his Hansa supplied the village of Basane, demanded by Hubert Duret, where they concluded an agreement. When a herd of draconoids began to settle in Mount Crane, they caused mass deaths of Hansa Fillbert's members from the clutches of draconoids, because of this, Filibert gave the order to build a ballista to fire at the draconids from the sky.
When Philibert returned to Toussaint, he began to despise the shining knights and all their virtues because he believed that they were naive, stupid and worthless to him. The association of these virtues of shining knights announced tasks to his people from the Hanseatic League that if they gave him one of the heads of shining knights, he would pay them a bag of money.
Moreover, Filibert still holds a grudge against Macrinus from the future even though he spared him and wants to take revenge for his defeat and then kill him by sending his men to search him throughout Toussaint. People associated with Filibert extorted and blackmailed other people with information about Macrinus, until finally at night someone provided information about where Macrinus' residence was located. When the Hansa and Philibert reached Macrinus' residence in the evening, they started intervening in the residences and finally caught up with Macrinus and his family. In the name of revenge on Macrinus, Filibert began to mentally torture him when he ordered his children to be hanged and his wife raped and then killed her in front of him. When he killed his family, Filibert ordered his men to impale Marcinus, leaving his body.
Some time later, Geralt, who has come to Toussaint to kill the Beast of Toussaint, takes over the task of fighting the criminal Hansa, including Filibert's Hansa. When Geralt finds Filibert's Hanseatic League base, he kills its members, meets Filibert himself, and then confronts him in a fight that ends in Filibert's death.
