Street Fighter V is a series of 2.5D fighting games in the Street Fighter franchise. Like in the Street Fighter IV games, the characters and environments in Street Fighter V are rendered in 3D models and graphics but the gameplay remains on a traditional 2D plane, the games however uses a more realistic style instead of the hand-drawn ink look in Street Fighter IV.

The story in Street Fighter V is chronologically set between Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III.

Trivia[]

  • With the fifth and final season (which adds five additional fighters, plus bonus character Eleven, a mimic fighter), Street Fighter V has a grand total of 46 fighters, two more than Ultra Street Fighter IV. This is the largest amount of playable characters in the Street Fighter series thus far.
  • The second game since Street Fighter Alpha series where the storyline does not involve tournaments.
