I am a bit behind on Chooky's attack plan and now's the time to tell you why.
This week-end we had our annual guild meeting in Denmark and I have been stitching a BIG project for my local shop during the summer. Take a look here and see for yourself. I have been doing a few other things which will be revealed during this week.
By the way I met up with Jytte R at the meeting. Unfortunately none of us was thinking of pictures at the time.
I just need a little more stitching on my vege path and block number 4 will be done. I'll be back in a few days.

YES!! I made it : Keeping the plan of attack :-)
Well..... back from Festival of Quilts in UK,things are almost back to normal for me. It was such a lovely experience, peaceful and at the same time exciting, concentrating only on quilting for days. Now the usual things around me,and the Garden Journal is shaping up!
I do not know about September yet, but above you can see my Block D,
and
a good feeling inside showing you block C and D sewn. I have noticed that some of you already have done so. Hurrah, I am so glad that I finally have two together !!!
I`ll be back sooooon with block F. Well, have just started though, but planning to working hard in September!!
HAPPY STITCHING to you all :-)
Seed sowing time.......
Hi there everyone, at last I can get an "H' added ........... some seed packets and tools stitched just in time for spring! I'm looking forward to getting the real thing underway out in the garden, things are definitely starting to 'spring' into life around here quickly now.
There has been some awesome progress in the last couple of weeks, it amazes me how there are so many styles and colours appearing, I love the personal touches some have been adding to really make their quilt their own!
Till next time, happy stitching, Nicky
Another One Bites The Dust
...and another one done, another one done, another one bites the dust, yeah!
Ooops, sorry I'm getting a wee bit carried away with a 'Queen' song but it seems just so appropriate.
Please Miss Chooky, may I now have an 'F'?
thank you

Help Please
Hi Girls,
Can anyone tell me where I can get another copy of A Gardners Journal ? I have given away the original and only have a copy with some pages missing, I thought I'd copied them all before sending off the original to the U.S.A, now my local shop has no copies left.

Still behind, but TWO more blocks to add to Collection.
You see, I really am not much of a green thumb, so have to keep adjusting the pattern to my needs. I couldnt resist changing the house to something similiar I used to live in the country a few years back. I am only a few behind now, so if I dont keep dawniefying, then I should be caught up soon.
Block C - June
Block B - October

Yeeeeeeeeeeha
Yeah, I'm doing my wee bit to increase the months total, and now have completed 'E'.
Maybe it's the weather or maybe it's because I'm now used to getting the blocks done, but they do seem to be getting easier - or is that a false sense of security? Any how here's my completed block, may I now have an 'E'?
Thanks for all the prompting Chooky.
hugs all round

I took the advice of several of you lovely ladies, and prepared that big nasty house block to stitch when I get ahead of "the plan" for the month. It's coming along quite nicely...but boy, there is some stitching in it! It should definitely keep me out of trouble until September rolls around :)

Some 'Catch-Up' Stitching!
After deciding that I REALLY needed to get myself into gear and make some progress on my "A Gardener's Journal" blocks, I've spent a very pleasant weekend doing some catch-up stitching ... in between the usual household chores of course. SIGH! How much more stitching could I get done if only those housework faeries would come and visit me! :0)
Now, our recent holiday gave me a bit of stitching time and a wet day this week gave me a bit more, then yesterday and last night we played "Let's Avoid The Election Television Coverage" and the resulting movie marathon helped me make even more progress. So this morning when I headed for my sewing room to add some piecing, this was my little stockpile of stitcheries ...
After a bit of head-scratching over the flower wreath blocks (remember, while I LOVE stitching, I'm not overly experienced at patchwork techniques!! Plus ... I think I missed some important instructions somewhere! Tee! Hee! Hee!) I managed to piece two more blocks ... June and July's blocks, so I guess even though I'm still behind on the Stitch-A-Long schedule, I'm no quite as FAR behind! :0) So here's the results of my head-scratching and piecing ...
Block C, "There's No Place Like Home". And boy oh boy was 'building' that house a marathon! I think I could almost have build a REAL house in the same time!! :0) That's June's block and ...
Block H Garden Tools was July's goal block. Considering my patchwork inexperience and the missing instructions (OK ... so maybe there WEREN'T any instructions missing and it just SEEMED like it cos I'm instruction-impaired! Tee! Hee! Hee!) I was pretty pleased with how the flower wreath and violet wreath came together.
So far, this is how my quilt is shaping up ...
Hmmm ... for someone who isn't really a patchworker, I seem to be doing quite a lot of piecing, don't I?! :0) I'm loving how it's all coming together ... and was even inspired to head out into my own garden this afternoon ... at which point, I probably resembled the lady I'm stitching at the moment for block D ... without the hat! Tee! Hee! Hee!
Well, I'm now off to watch the "Dancing With The Stars" semi-final and help the poor lady just mentioned with her weeding! :0) Til next time ...
CHEERS!

D is Done & Dusted...
Ta Dah! Presenting...drum roll please.....Block "D"!!!...
...not only within the specified month but before the month ran out of days....it's an August miracle!! (ha ha ha)
I don't know if I'm just getting used to reading Anni's instructions for putting the blocks together or if this was one was particularly easy but it went together like a dream...no unsewing...no what the?...nothing...just sew and iron...easy peasy...hope the rest of the blocks have taken notes from this one on how to behave!
Catching up on the posts for the past week this morning, awesome going ladies...so motivating to see everyone's work...
Happy stitching...

Greetings from Finland
Hey there!
I just noticed there is lot of stitchings in September.
So I took 'a false start' with block F.
BUT BEFORE THAT...
TA-DAA!!!
I finished block D;)
I also realised that I'm over the half way now!
Five blocks done, four left.
IT feels soooo good;)))
I'm surprised how quick and easy I have made them.
BUT I'm quite sure,
not without you,
Chookyblue and all the other SAL -girls!
KIITOS KAIKESTA! - THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH!

'D' for Done
I think now that I have this block (D) done I'm all up to date Chookyblue.
Maybe that spell of sickness has done me just a little favour - you see I got all of the stitcheries done when I couldn't get to the machine, now all I really have to worry about are those piddley little squares that we all have to sew so many of. The best part though is knowing that I'm not doing it alone and that Miss Chooky will be there to whip us into shape with her feather duster if we do start to slacken off.
Yeah, I feel like I'm on a roll.
Have a great week
hugs
