- "You'll hang for this."
"Seven years serving you? I deserve worse than that." - ―Commander Jayhold Beehaz and Lieutenant Gorn
Hanging was method of execution involving ropes,[2] used by the Galactic Empire.[1] A body could also be hung in display post-mortem as an intimidation tactic[3] In a meeting between Luthen Rael and Cassian Andor on Ferrix, it was mentioned that Andor's father had been hanged in the square at Rix Road.[4] Later, while discussing an upcoming robbery, Rael said to Andor that the Empire would use the same rope to hang him "whether it's for a plasma coil or twenty million credits."[2] The Imperial pilot Palal Seedia told New Republic pilot Chass na Chadic that she assumed that the New Republic would hang her for her role in the destruction of Nacronis.[5]
