Super Sonic[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is an independent manifestation of Super Sonic created when Sonic the Hedgehog harnessed the power of the six red Chaos Emeralds of Thoraxia.[1]
Appearance[]
Super Sonic appears almost identical to that of Super Sonic, resembling a mobian hedgehog with yellow fur, six upturned quills, tan skin, and shoes almost identical to Sonic's.[1]
History[]
Tossed In Space[]
Super Sonic was manifested when Sonic harnessed the power of the six red Chaos Emeralds on Thoraxia in an attempt to stop the invading Bzzz forces. Although Super Sonic initially saved the Blodex city by violently killing the Bzzzz Queen, he continued his mad rampage, bursting through entire buildings and tearing up the ground, before finally settling on the idea of destroying Thoraxia's two moons. However, he was stopped from doing so by Sonic, whom Super Sonic engaged in combat, easily beating the hedgehog with his superior abilities. Super Sonic subsequently attempted to kill Sonic, but vanished before being able to do so, due to running out of Chaos energy.[1][2]
Personality[]
In contrast to Sonic, Super Sonic is excessively violent and destructive, believing there is neither good nor evil in the world, only power. Super Sonic appears to be driven by the single purpose to cause chaos, even attempting to blow up entire moons in order to satisfy his urge.[1][2]
Powers and abilities[]
This Super Sonic's abilities are largely the same as the regular Super Sonic's, being capable of flight, near-invincibility, and harnessing Chaos energy. Super Sonic can utilize said Chaos energy to form shields, energy surges, and fire beams powerful enough to blow up moons.[1][2]
Weakness[]
Super Sonic's existence is bound to Chaos energy, meaning he will vanish once his power is depleted.[2]

Trivia[]
- Super Sonic bears several striking similarities both in nature and personality to his counterpart from Sonic the Comic. It is unknown whether said similarities were intentional or not.
