Spagonia University is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a research institute in Spagonia where Professor Pickle does research.

History[]

Professor Dillon Pickle and his colleague Sir Charles the Hedgehog were doing research here when they were abducted by Dr. Eggman's forces under E-106 Eta. Chuck's assistant Ben Muttski subsequently contacted the Freedom Fighters with news of this event.^[1]

Later on, after Professor Pickle was rescued, he would be visited at the university by Echo the Dolphin who wanted to know the location of Princess Undina.^[2]

Trivia[]

• Spagonia University is based on the location in the video game Sonic Unleashed.
• Before debuting, the Spagonia University was mentioned in the Sonic Super Digest series' short-lived "Professor Pickles Nature Notebook" feature. This was when the comic was still in its original pre-Super Genesis Wave timeline. Whether this confirms that the university existed in that timeline is not yet confirmed.
