Sonic the Hedgehog: Legacy Volume 1 is the first volume in the Sonic Legacy Series of graphic novels. This volume contains reprints of stories from Sonic the Hedgehog #0-#3 from the original Sonic the Hedgehog miniseries and Sonic the Hedgehog #1-#16 from the main Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

Trivia[]
- This volume has 512 pages, which is the equivalent of sixteen Sonic the Hedgehog comic series issues. Strangely, it actually includes twenty Sonic the Hedgehog comic series issues as well as special extra features.
- Like in Sonic Archives Vol. 0, only the full-length stories from the miniseries are printed, with the smaller gag strips and pin-ups being omitted. This does not carry over to issues after the miniseries however.
- Also like in Sonic Archives Vol. 0, Rotor's name is corrected in the stories from the miniseries. He is still referred to as Boomer in the issues afterward.
- Ben Bates forgot to sign the cover artwork once he had drawn it.[1]
- Despite possessing the same number of pages as the later volumes in the Sonic Legacy Series, this volume is noticeably thicker than the others. This is due to the later volumes being printed on thinner quality paper.
- The cover of the Sonic the Hedgehog: Legacy Vol. 2 can be seen on the final page. It also states that it will be released "Fall 2012".
