Rudy[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic Underground television series. He is the leader of a group of Freedom Fighters from a village in the wastelands of Quadrant 10.
Appearance[]
Rudy is a tall, green lizard with an orange mohawk. For attire, he wears a white shirt, a green jacket with orange shoulders, a pair of gray pants, two brown boots, and a black eyepatch over his right eye.[1]

One night, while Rudy was away from his village, it was attacked by Flybots and many of his friends were infected with a serum that made them loyal to Dr. Robotnik. Rudy however, managed to escape in his vehicle.[1]
Season one[]
Rude soon met up with the Sonic Underground, who had come to the wasteland while searching for their mother Queen Aleena. Rudy revealed that he had not seen Aleena, and explained the situation to them. Hearing of his problems, they agreed to help him deal with the Flybots. When Manic the Hedgehog was subsequently affected by the Flybots' serum, revealing the team's location to Robotnik, Rudy showed the team to a cave where they could hide their van. He later helped Sonic work out a plan to destroy the Flybots, by luring them to a part of the wasteland beset by electrical storms. Some of the Flybots were destroyed by being struck by lightning, and others were shot down by the mounted weapons on the Camper Van. Afterwards, Rudy returned to his village, which had been burned down by Swatbots, but found that some members of the team, including Sheila, had managed to escape.[1]
Personality[]
Rudy speaks in an Australian accent, and, although menacing-looking, possesses a kind heart, and a hatred for the Robotnik Empire. Additionally, he cares very deeply for his Freedom Fighter teammates, being crestfallen when they came under Robotnik's control.[1]
Trivia[]
- Rudy, like other members of his Freedom Fighter group, wears leather clothes reminiscent of the characters from the film Mad Max 2.
