The Robo Kukku^[1] is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, bird-based robot model produced by the Battle Kukku Empire.

Appearance[]

Robo Kukkus resemble mechanical birds with gray bodies, rigid "arms", an orange head, and black "eyes" resembling the helmets of other Battle Kukku Empire footsoldiers.

Overview[]

In Tails Adventure, Robo Kukkus appear as non-hostile enemies. They are encountered in Battle Fortress 1.

In gameplay, Robo Kukkus emerge endlessly from passageways, for then to be carried away by Conveyor Belts until they reach the end of said belt, upon which they will be destroyed. The player can defeat Robo Kukkus with any attack. However, the Robo Kukkus themselves do not perform any actions, and make no active effort to attack the player. As such, they serve more as stationary obstacles meant to obstruct Tails' path along the Conveyor Belts throughout Battle Fortress 1.

Unlike many other enemies in Tails Adventure, a Robo Kukku does not drop a Ring upon its defeat.

Trivia[]

• Despite supposedly being robots, the Robo Kukkus play the standard defeat animation for a Battle Kukku Empire soldier upon defeat.
• The Pursuit Drones from Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog comic series appear to be inspired by the Robo Kukkus.
