Marketa is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She is a human resident of a village in Artika and the daughter of Jari-Thure and Sarianna.

After Marketa's mother and father were rescued from the Artika Egg Army and returned to their village with Sonic the Hedgehog and Rotor the Walrus, Marketa took some time playing with Sonic in his Werehog form.[1]
Later on, Marketa and her family would watch in fear as the local Gaia Temple would rise up from the ground.[2] However, they would later come to peace as they oversaw the restoration of the world.[3]

Marketa is friendly and very eager with Sonic, possibly due the fact that she has grown up in an isolated area.
