Ivan (Иван) is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. He is a construction worker working for Sergei.

Appearance[]

Ivan is a large, muscular, and tall man with peach skin, blue eyes, and a dark brown beard, although he is bald. He has a large nose and hairy arms. For attire, he wears blue jeans that are held up by suspenders, a light yellow shirt, white gloves, and brown shoes.

When Sergei was confronted by Tails and Chris protesting his building of a dam, as it would affect the wild life in the area, Sergei physically threatened the two with Ivan. Ivan then showed up and nonverbally implied he would beat up the two if they didn't leave. Ivan then left with Sergei to get back to work.^[1]

• Like Sergei and Boris, his name is of Russian origin, connected with the variant of the Greek name Ioannes from Hebrew Yohannan, meaning 'God is gracious'.
• Ivan is unnamed in the Japanese dub.
